After spending years defending our liberties and protecting our way of life in a disciplined environment with a feeling of purpose, importance and respect, many of our Veterans find it very challenging reentering the civilian world. 76% of Veterans diagnosed with a disability believe their disability is currently preventing them from getting or holding a job.
1 out of 4 people who are homeless are Veterans and every night there are over 150,000 Veterans who don't have a home to sleep in. Sadly, every month nearly 1,000 United States Veterans attempt to take their own lives and unfortunately every hour of every day a Veteran takes his/ her own life. More United States troops have died from su***de than have been killed in Afghanistan since 2001. This is a crisis that must be extinguished. Warriors Support Services is a 501(c) non-profit exclusively focused on veterans supporting veterans as they acclimate from military life to a productive civilian life.
