The Mbu Foundation

The Mbu Foundation For a thriving Mbu: clean water, schools, healthcare, and heritage. Powered by the people.

The Mbu Foundation was created with one clear goal: to uplift and empower the people of Mbu through education, sustainable development, and community-led initiatives. As a founding member, I am proud to have been part of the collective vision that gave birth to this platform — one rooted in unity, progress, and service to our people. The foundation focuses on projects that directly improve lives i

n Mbu Village and beyond — from school renovations and youth development to economic empowerment and cultural preservation. It is a space where Mbu sons and daughters, along with friends and well-wishers, come together to invest in the future of our community. At its core, the Mbu Foundation represents hope — hope for a more educated youth, a stronger economy, and a united people determined to shape their own destiny.

Mbu Community School Renovation — Progress You Can See, Hope You Can Feel!

When The Mbu Foundation first stepped in to revive the Mbu Community School, the site was overgrown, access paths were blocked, and the buildings stood in disrepair. The journey began with clearing the thick grass, digging out and leveling the ground that had blocked access, and thoroughly cleaning the school and its surroundings — breathing life back into a place that had been silent for too long.

Since then, the workers have been on site day and night, working tirelessly to ensure the renovation advances without delay. The Mbu Foundation, true to its promise, has been right there beside them — providing every material and resource they need to keep moving forward.

Together, we are truly “Building Tomorrow Today.”

Every trip of sand, every bag of cement, every plank, every nail is helping turn a once-neglected structure into a safe, inspiring, and dignified place to learn.

Together, we are not just renovating a school; we are restoring dreams.
Together, we are truly “Building Tomorrow Today.”

Renovation work at the Mbu Community School has officially started. It’s just the beginning — the first steps in what will be a long but hopeful journey to restore dignity to a place that has served generations.
As you can see, there is still a lot of work to be done. But we couldn’t wait. The need is urgent, and thanks to the generosity of those who have donated so far, we were able to begin.
To everyone who contributed — thank you. Your support has helped us take the first step.
But the road ahead is still long, and we invite you to continue walking it with us. Every bit of support helps us move forward, one block, one bench, one classroom at a time.
Let’s keep the momentum going.

A Gift Rooted in Humility, Experience, and Purpose.
Meet Mr. Issac Sunday — a son of Cameroon, now based in the United States, whose journey from hardship to hope has blossomed into a mission to uplift others.
As someone who once trekked to school for almost three years without shoes or a backpack, Mr. Sunday knows firsthand what it means to lack access to basic educational tools. But he never let those challenges define his future.
Today, he’s the founder of the American Foundation Academy in Bonaberi, Douala — a school modeled after American educational standards to give children in Cameroon the kind of quality education he never had.
He is also the CEO of the American-Cameroon Shipping Center in Houston, Texas, where his company offers 50% discounts on all items shipped to Cameroon — another way of giving back to the community that raised him.
Now, through the Mbu Foundation, Mr. Sunday has donated 10 complete desktop computers to support the Mbu Community School — a powerful step toward digital empowerment for our children back home. This donation is more than just equipment; it is a bridge to opportunity, skills, and a brighter future.
And his generosity doesn’t stop there — Mr. Sunday also made a heartfelt contribution of $300 to support the Mbu Multipurpose Business Center, one of the community’s greatest development projects.
In his own words, his father gave him the best education — not just in books, but in values. And today, he’s passing those same lessons to his own son, who walks with him in his warehouse, learning through action.
🙏🏽 Thank you, Mr. Issac Sunday, for turning your story into service, your struggle into support, and your success into a blessing for generations to come.
The Mbu Foundation and the entire Mbu community are deeply grateful. May your kindness inspire many more to give where they can.

BREAKING: Monumental Donation of 5 Million FCFA to The Mbu Foundation, for the renovation of the Mbu Community School Renovation Project!
The Mbu Foundation is overjoyed and profoundly honored to announce a landmark donation of 5,000,000 francs CFA (the equivalent of $8,907.05) from Mme Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi Achu—a true daughter of purpose, vision, and heart.
This extraordinary act of generosity comes at a defining moment in our history.
For decades, the Mbu Community School has been a cradle of hope for our children, even as its walls cracked, its roofs leaked, and its resources dwindled. But through it all, our children have shown up—with open hearts, bright minds, and dreams far bigger than their surroundings.
Today, that dream takes a giant leap forward.
Mme Achidi Achu’s selfless gift is more than a donation. It is a pillar of faith in our future—a powerful reminder that change begins with those who care enough to act.
Her contribution will directly support the renovation and revival of the Mbu Community School—bringing:
✔️ Safe, well-equipped classrooms
✔️ Functional toilets and clean water
✔️ Desks, benches, and essential learning tools
✔️ A dignified learning environment rooted in culture and opportunity
Mme Achidi Achu, we see you. We celebrate you. And we thank you. Your generosity is not just felt — it will be remembered, lived, and passed on through the lives of the many children who will now walk into a brighter, stronger future.
From the Mbu Foundation and the entire Mbu community—home and abroad—we say: May your light continue to shine. May your name be written in the legacy of change.
Because of you, we are building tomorrow, today.

MBU COMMUNITY SCHOOL RENOVATION PROJECT
Led by the Mbu Foundation
The Mbu Community School has served our village for generations — but today, its buildings are in urgent need of repair. Crumbling walls, leaking roofs, and limited supplies are making it harder for our children to learn.
Still, they come — eager, hopeful, and full of dreams.
The Mbu Foundation is launching a renovation project to restore this school and give our children the safe, inspiring environment they deserve.

We envision:
Clean, secure classrooms
Proper desks, toilets, and learning materials
A school rooted in culture, dignity, and opportunity
This is more than renovation — it’s a renewal of hope.
Join us. Support the Mbu Community School.
Every pledge matters. Every brick builds tomorrow.
