Last week, the Boston Society of Architecture joined Mass Cultural Council, the ArtsStayHere Coalition, and ARC/Architectural Resources Cambridge, Inc.hitectural Resources Cambridge for Creative Space DNA: Creating Space for the Arts. ✨

The discussion explored how arts and cultural organizations create, adapt, and sustain spaces across Massachusetts, highlighting collaboration, renovation, and new opportunities for creative communities.

📘 We’re excited to announce the launch of the BSA’s first regional design guidebook, What Is Adaptive Reuse? Practical Solutions for the Cape & Islands.

Join us for a virtual discussion exploring how adaptive reuse can help expand housing opportunities across the Cape & Islands through practical, real-world examples.

The program will feature case studies including the Coady School Residences, Old Gay Head Parsonage, and 66 Pochick Ave House Move, highlighting design approaches, project costs, and regulatory pathways that can support successful housing production.

This session is ideal for property owners, architects, designers, planners, developers, municipal leaders, and community advocates interested in creating more housing through innovative reuse strategies.

While our name is changing, our mission remains the same: advancing our belief that architecture belongs to everyone and that design has the power to shape a more equitable, resilient, and connected Boston.
