In April, Commissioners Chiling Tong, Joanne Kwong, and Joseph Cao hosted a listening session in Houston at the Asia Society Texas Center.

Houston is home to one of the most ethnically diverse Asian American communities in the country—including Vietnamese, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, and more—and that richness was reflected in the conversation in Texas. Participants emphasized the importance of ensuring a future national Asian Pacific American museum captures the full diversity of our community's experiences, particularly the distinct histories and voices represented in the South.

As we enter this final stretch, we have a simple ask: please submit a written public comment by August 31 and share your vision for a future national museum. Learn more: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfftgwX_3tTV-RLfvL2pkD8-Msc5n98xoNe5R6EHWclpcXX6w/viewform
