Thank you to everyone who attended CCHERS' panel discussion on February 8th. We had a very informative and engaging conversation with our expert panelists and audience members on a range of topics, including the history of anti-Asian racism, experience of Asian Americans' with COVID-19 and the rising sentiment, attacks, and discrimination against Asian American communities during the pandemic, and what we can do together to combat racism, colorism, and racial injustice.

The session was moderated by Mr. Ben Hires, CEO of the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center - BCNC, and featured:
- Dr. Jean Wu - Senior Lecturer (Emerita) in American Studies and Asian American Studies within the Consortium of Studies in Race, Colonialism and Diaspora at Tufts University
- Mrs. Chien-Chi Huang - Founder and CEO of Asian Women for Health
- Dr. Rohit Chandra - Psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital
- Mrs. Anh Vu Sawyer - Executive Director of the Southeast Asian Coalition of Massachusetts.

The Promising Partnerships is CCHERS' pilot grant program to accelerate partnerships between community-based organizations and academic community-oriented researchers. Through a competitive award process, selected grantees will receive seed funding and training support to foster a community-academic collaboration and perform preliminary work that will likely lead to successful future grant applications.

Priority areas include addressing health disparities/achieving health equity and/or helping patients, families, and communities make better-informed decisions about health and healthcare.

Massachusetts-based 501(c)3 community organizations, community health centers, patient advocacy and support groups, Patient-Powered Research Network (PPRN) groups, Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFACs) are eligible to apply. Individuals and for-profit business are not eligible.
