Today, we remember Massachusetts State Police Trooper Douglas Weddleton and Officer Harold Vitale of Saugus Police Department, who both made the ultimate sacrifice on June 18, 25 years apart.

Though separated by time, they shared the same commitment to serving and protecting the people of Massachusetts. Their dedication, courage, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

The Hundred Club of Massachusetts honors their memory today and always. Our thoughts are with their families, friends, and fellow officers today.

Today, we remember Detective Thomas Cuddy of the Lawrence Police Department on the anniversary of his End of Service, June 17, 2025.

His commitment to his community and fellow officers left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. The Hundred Club of Massachusetts honors Detective Cuddy's service and sacrifice. We remember him today and hold his family, friends, and the entire Lawrence Police Department in our thoughts.

Today we remember the brave firefighters lost in the Hotel Vendome Fore in Boston's Back Bay on June 17, 1972. Lt. Thomas J. Carroll, Lt. John E. Hanbury Jr., Firefighter Thomas Beckwith, Firefighter Joseph F. Boucher Jr., Firefighter Charles E. Dolan, Firefighter John E. Jameson, Firefighter Richard B. Magee, Firefighter Paul J. Murphy, and Firefighter Joseph P. Saniuk.

More than five decades later, their sacrifice, and dedication to duty continue to inspire generations of firefighters. The Hundred Club of Massachusetts honors their memory and will never forget their sacrifice.

Today, we pause to remember Massachusetts State Trooper Paul Barry, who was lost on June 15, 2006, while serving the people of the Commonwealth.

Trooper Barry dedicated his life to protecting others, answering the call of duty with courage, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to public service. Though years have passed, his sacrifice is not forgotten. His legacy lives on through the family, friends, and fellow troopers who continue to honor his memory.

Today, we remember and honor Somerville Firefighters Joseph Reilly and Robert Brickley, who made the ultimate sacrifice on this date in 1974. Though more than five decades have passed, their courage, dedication, and service to their community are not forgotten. Their legacy lives on in the hearts of those they served and in the fire service they so proudly represented.

The Hundred Club of Massachusetts joins in remembering Firefighters Reilly and Brickley with gratitude and respect. We honor their sacrifice, recognize the loved ones they left behind, and reaffirm our commitment to preserving their memory.
