This event is FREE and will include discussion around peace building in divided communities through the arts. It will also include a performance by acclaimed Jewish Israeli recording artist Achinoam Nini (Noa) and renowned Arab Israeli singer, songwriter, and actress Mira Awad who will be joining us all the way from Israel.

The program on May 7, 4:30 PM-7:30 PM at Boston University will feature:

- Stories & Songs of creative collaboration and peace activism with acclaimed Israeli recording artist, Achinoam Nina (Noa) [http://www.noasmusic.com/] and Mira Awad [https://www.miraawad.co/], Renowned Arab Israeli singer, songwriter, and actress
- An interactive text study on pluralism, facilitated by Rabbi Or Rose

Calling all preachers and aspiring preachers. Submit a sermon for the Donald A. Wells Preaching Prize ($1,000!!!) sponsored by the Massachusetts Bible Society. The theme for this year is: “Whose Truth? Whose Power? Justice in the Age of Alternative Facts.”

You need to submit:
- Text of sermon on our 2018 social justice theme, “Whose Truth? Whose Power? Justice in the Age of Alternative Facts”
- Video of that same sermon in a digital format of your choosing
- A cover sheet with your name, school, year, degree program, mailing address, phone, and email

The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 16, 2018. The winner will be announced on Friday, April 6, 2018.

About the Prize: The Massachusetts Bible Society established the Donald A. Wells Preaching Prize in 2007 to honor Executive Director Emeritus Donald A. Wells and his commitment to social justice. The prize is awarded to a student of one of the member schools of the Boston Theological Institute for a sermon based on a biblical text that raises an issue of social justice in the contemporary world.
