⁉️ Where in the State is Our Team Today? 📍 Brockton!

Our Brockton CHW Hub came together for an important conversation about recent policy changes impacting immigration and MassHealth — and what these changes mean for the individuals and families CHWs serve every day.

We were grateful to be joined by the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA), Health Care For All, and Aceriane Leal from Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN), who shared information, resources, and guidance to help CHWs better understand these changes and support their communities.

When policies change, CHWs are often the people communities turn to first. Creating spaces where CHWs can ask questions, receive trusted information, and connect directly with advocacy and community partners is essential to ensuring families have the support they need.
Thank you to our partners and to every CHW who joined us in Brockton! 💙

"Stay with Them: A CHW Approach to Su***de Prevention"

In honor of Su***de Prevention Month, our Worcester CHW Hub brought CHWs together for an important conversation about the role we can play in supporting people through difficult moments.

From recognizing signs of distress to listening without judgment and connecting people to the right supports, CHWs are often in a unique position to notice, reach out, and stay with someone when they need it most.

MACHW is seeking Community Health Workers who are interested in strengthening their facilitation and training skills through a two-day Train-the-Trainer program. Participants will learn practical strategies for engaging adult learners, leading group discussions, managing group dynamics, and confidently facilitating CHW-focused trainings.
