Keep the CCBC celebration going after the paddles come out of the water!

The Cape Cod Bay Challenge Celebration Event will take place on Saturday, August 15, from approximately 1:00–4:30 p.m. at the Levitate Backyard in Marshfield. Paddlers, friends, family members, and supporters are invited to enjoy an afternoon featuring live music, food, beverages, and plenty of CCBC community spirit.

The Cape Cod Bay Challenge is the Northeast’s oldest and most recognized stand-up paddle event, raising critical funds for Christopher’s Haven and the families of children receiving cancer treatment in Boston.

This is a private event, so all friends and family members must purchase tickets in advance through Eventbrite. Admission is already included with all paddler registrations.

Christopher’s Haven recently had the pleasure of welcoming 44 teen volunteers from First Baptist Church of Hamlet as part of their church mission trip.

Over the course of two days, the group helped organize our storage units and arts and crafts supplies, built a crib, led an activity, and spent time playing games with the children staying at Christopher’s Haven. They also made a generous donation to support our mission and the families we serve.

This visit was especially meaningful to our Executive Director, whose parents live near the church’s community in North Carolina.

Thank you to every volunteer who shared their time, energy, and kindness with us, and to Allison Farrah for organizing such a special visit. We absolutely loved having you at Christopher’s Haven!

Christopher’s Haven extends its heartfelt thanks to Trevor Lee and Veeva Systems for a generous grant donation made in recognition of Trevor being named a 2026 Veeva Hero.

Trevor, a dynamic leader at Servier, was honored for his outstanding work helping his team transform legacy data assets into a modern commercial data infrastructure in a remarkably short amount of time.

Through the Veeva Heroes Award, Trevor had the opportunity to direct a grant to an organization that is meaningful to him, and we are deeply grateful that he chose Christopher’s Haven.

Congratulations, Trevor, on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you to Trevor and Veeva for supporting our mission and helping us continue providing a home away from home for children and families traveling to Boston for cancer treatment.

Mike Chase has spent years helping the Cape Cod Bay Challenge grow into one of the Northeast’s most recognized standup paddle events, all while raising vital funds for Christopher’s Haven.

As President of the Cape Cod Bay Challenge and a member of the Christopher’s Haven Board of Directors, Mike’s dedication to our mission extends far beyond event day. His leadership helps bring together paddlers, families and supporters who believe that no family should have to face a child’s cancer treatment alone.

On Saturday, August 15, Mike will take to the water once again as part of the 2026 Cape Cod Bay Challenge. Paddlers will complete either a 16-mile route along the South Shore or a 5-mile fun paddle on the South River, all in support of Christopher’s Haven.

This year is especially meaningful as Christopher’s Haven celebrates its 25th anniversary. There is still time to sign up to participate, or donate to support the paddlers.

Every contribution helps provide a home away from home for children and families traveling to Boston for cancer treatment.

As the World Cup came to a close this weekend, we’re looking back on an unforgettable experience for Felix and his family.

Through LivFree's “Moment of Joy” program, Felix had the opportunity to watch his favorite team, France, play in the World Cup right here in the Boston area. The excitement, smiles and memories shared as a family made this so much more than a soccer game.

We are incredibly grateful to LivFree for bringing this experience to life and giving Felix such a meaningful gift. Thank you for continuing to create moments of joy for children and families facing cancer.

Christopher’s Haven and LivFree are teaming up to support kids with cancer and their families. 💛🏒

As part of the 24 Hour Hockey Marathon at Warrior Ice Arena, more than 80 hockey players will take the ice for 24 hours straight, all in support of two organizations dedicated to bringing comfort, community and joy to families facing childhood cancer.

Throughout the event, guests can stop by our simulated Christopher’s Haven Loft space for games, activities and the chance to add their handprint to the family wall, a special tribute to the incredible families who make Christopher’s Haven what it is.

Don’t miss the raffle and auction, available online and in person!
