The Global Albanians Foundation is pleased to support two exciting academic events that bring global expertise, research, and innovation to Albanian students, researchers, and future leaders this June at the University of Vlora.

These events are being organized by AlbaNovus Center for Mathematics and Intelligent Systems, and are co-sponsored by CDATA and supported by GAF and RUR.AL

First, the 2026 Workshop on Foundations of AI from June 15-19 will feature two certified courses, each delivered through ten modules by distinguished international faculty. In a hands-on and interactive style, the participants will explore core concepts in data science, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and real-world AI applications.

Immediately following the workshop, we are proud to support the Perspectives on Intelligent Systems Research Conference, a one-day International Scientific Conference with research talks on the mathematical, conceptual, and algorithmic foundations of intelligent systems as well as a general panel about the societal and economic impact of AI. The conference will bring together scholars and administrators from leading institutions in Albania, the United States, and the United Kingdom to discuss the future of AI through research, policy, theory, and interdisciplinary exchange.

These events reflect the power of connecting Albanian talent worldwide with local institutions to create meaningful opportunities in education, research, and innovation.

🌱 Creating a Forest Corridor in the Hills of Korça

Fondacioni Komunitar "Korçarët Ndihmojmë Korçarët' is connecting green areas in the Hills of Morava through a forest corridor, the first in a series of projects to improve Korça’s urban environment.

With support from the Global Albanians Foundation and partners in Korça, this initiative is restoring ecosystems, strengthening natural protection, and supporting sustainable tourism.

, partner of the Global Albanians Foundation, hosts a special event this Friday in New York to support Thinking of You, the powerful public art installation by Alketa Xhafa Mripa.

Opening on March 8, 2026 at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza near the United Nations, the installation honors survivors of conflict related sexual violence and brings their voices into global spaces of decision making. The project began in Kosova and has reached The Hague, Strasbourg, and Oslo.

The evening features art, music, and a short documentary screening, helping raise funds for the New York installation. With support from Vjosa and Richard Lukaj, Fadil Berisha, and the Global Albanians Foundation.
