Yee Fung Toy Association of NE celebrated their spring festival on March 21 with close to 400 members, families and friends attending. We had an unprecedented dragon and lion dance performance by Mai Du’s Wah Lum Kung Fu Club and Chris Yee’s Southern Lions. There were out-of-state YFT HQ Elders (Larry 健全元老, Frank 宏基元老), Eastern Grand President Andy 應昌總長 and NY Chapter President Jason 伯禧主席. From our local chapter, the banquet was led by Elders Peter 超群元老 and Kenneth 文博元老 and Co-Presidents Alan 雅倫主席 and Lup 立昌主席. Scholarships were handed out to two graduate degree students and three undergraduate students. Performances were done by our Women’s Group with dancing and singing. Raffles were handed out with Elders Peter and Kenneth donating all the cash prizes totaling $600! We also had our own “God of Wealth” 財神 distributing chocolate gold coins to all the guests. Most importantly, it was a night for all the Yee families to come together and celebrate the new year with their loved ones, young and old!

YFT INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS

YFT’s New England Chapter installed their 2026 officers on December 7 with a couple of VIP guests from the Community. CCBA 中華公所 President Felix Lui 雷國輝and Director Jeff Kao 高家富 主任 from OCAC 僑教中心 attended the event as where Elder Peter 超群元老 inducted President Alan 雅倫 and Vice-President Lup 立昌 for 2026. Along with VIP guests, many of our own members attended the event because we also celebrated D**g Gee 冬至 with home-made tong yun dumplings made by our own Women’s Group.

Yee Fung Toy of New England held their annual summer outing on July 19 at AmVets Post 79. The weather was perfect! Close to 100 members and family members attended this event. This year Elder Kenneth 文博元老 and his wife May came back from LA to join the event. He and Elder Peter 超群元老 donated all the money for the game prizes, as they always did in previous years.

This year there were seven winners in the candy guessing contest.

Lots of food were cooked on the grill by many volunteers and our Women’s Group served all the food to our members.

Games were played and winners were awarded cash prizes donated by our two Elders. Then to cap it off, tons of raffles were won by our members. No one left hungry or empty handed due to the many raffle prizes. Even our two Co-Chairs each won raffle prizes.
