Leadership rarely starts with a title—it starts with someone who sees your potential and makes time to help you grow. 💜

Behind so many strong leaders is a mentor, coach, colleague, or friend who believed in them before they fully believed in themselves. And the best part? That belief has a way of coming full circle.

Who believed in you first? Share your mentor story in the comments—and tag them if you can! ✨

⚾️ A special night celebrating women leaders and the power of community at Fenway!

Members of our Women in Nonprofit (WIN) Network came together for Women’s Night at Fenway, connecting with fellow nonprofit leaders and cheering on the Red Sox! We were excited to be joined by our grantee partners, Science Club for Girls and Girls Inc. of Boston and Lynn , along with Advisory Council member Elizabeth Hailer, representing The Women's Edge . 🌟

The evening also featured remarks by Red Sox Foundation Executive Director & WFMA Board Member Bekah Salwasser.

Thank you to the Red Sox Foundation and Bank of America for making this memorable evening possible and creating space for women leaders to connect, celebrate, and build community.

Go Sox! ❤️⚾️

Each year, requests from qualified women and girls’ serving nonprofits are 2-3 times greater than the dollars we have to grant. The Women’s Foundation of Massachusetts is dedicated to closing this gap. Join us by donating, attending Make Her Mark, and spreading the word for women and girls in our communities.

🌟 2026 Grantee Spotlight: Dream Big!🌟

We're proud to support Dream Big! as a recipient in our 2026 grant cycle!

Dream Big! helps girls and young women from economically disadvantaged communities to achieve their dreams by providing the sports equipment, sports attire, athletic footwear, program fees, and college showcase scholarships needed to enable them to participate in sports. 🏅💪

This 3-year grant will fund the purchase and implementation of warehouse management software and the hiring of a part-time distribution center manager.

📈 Research shows that high school girls who play sports are less likely to be involved in an unintended pregnancy, have a more positive body image, experience higher states of psychological well-being, are more likely to get better grades in school and more likely to graduate than girls who do not play sports. [Women’s Sports Foundation]

By increasing the efficiency and capacity of its distribution center, this investment will help ensure even more female student-athletes have access to the resources they need to thrive.

✨ We're proud to support Dream Big!'s work expanding access to sports and creating opportunities that help girls build confidence, leadership skills, and brighter futures.
