President of the Melhem Foundation, Mr. Nehme Gerges Melhem, spent the morning volunteering alongside the team at Foundation Al Tawarek in Tripoli, Lebanon, witnessing firsthand the dedication, compassion, and vital work being carried out for the local community.

His visit reaffirmed the Melhem Foundation’s commitment to standing with communities in Lebanon not only through financial support, but through service, partnership, and direct engagement on the ground.

Chris Armache, Interim Associate President of Melhem Holdings, met with Helena Hamieh, President of Mariam Foundation, to formally sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Melhem Foundation and Mariam Foundation.

The partnership establishes a framework for collaboration focused on community outreach, health awareness initiatives, educational programs, volunteer engagement, and charitable activities aimed at creating meaningful impact across Lebanon.

Both organizations look forward to working together to advance their shared commitment to serving communities and improving lives through sustainable and impactful initiatives.

Over the weekend, the Melhem Foundation held secure calls with partners in Lebanon and leadership discussions with Vice President Mrs. Jana Warde to review the evolving situation on the ground and the urgent humanitarian needs facing many communities.

We also recognize Interim Associate Chris Armache for proposing the initiative that helped accelerate this response.

Following the leadership meeting, Mrs. Jana Warde authorized the immediate coverage of bread and a source of nutritious protein for over 200 families in collaboration with our trusted partner, Al Tawarek Foundation, for the coming month. Aid distribution is expected to begin this week.

This initiative has been funded by the Melhem Scientific Charitable Fund.

🏆MEMBER HONORS | Two Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce Members to be fêted by the American Task Force on Lebanon: Simon Mourani (DTE Energy) and Dr. Nehme Gerges Melhem (Melhem Foundation). The rising leaders will join fellow honorees: Lebanese Diva Majida El Roumi, American University of Beirut (AUB) President Fadlo R. Khuri, and Shell CEO Wael Sawan, at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium next month in Washington D.C.

A partnership we deeply value and one with which we are confident we will reach new heights this year.

During the visit, President Melhem reaffirmed our continued support and engaged in meaningful discussions surrounding upcoming health-related and educational initiatives, reinforcing our shared commitment to lasting community impact.

As part of our continued growth, our health days have been intentionally delayed to allow for the development of our systems and the integration of advanced AI-driven solutions. We believe our communities deserve nothing less than innovation, and we remain committed to delivering smarter, more effective, and sustainable healthcare initiatives for our people.
