Mommy, there is no greater force than a pup not wanting to poo in the rain! You carried me down the stairs like a princess, so thank you but I just won’t do it!

For me this is a typical day! Mommy throws the ball and then I run “victory laps” for about 5 minutes until I’m ready for her to throw again!

For those wondering, Luna is a double Merle. That means two “Merle” which is a type of gene were bred together usually in hopes that a specific coat color is achieved. This also means that about 25% chance the pups will be “double Merle”. Double Merle’s or “lethal whites” often have impairments. Luna is deaf and visually impaired yet she doesn’t let anything stop her! Her perseverance and love never ends. I love her just like my own child.

At the end of the day, people need to stop breeding in a fashion that can cause these pups issues. They are called “lethal whites” because often times the breeders can and will dump the puppies with “issues” off to shelters and not everyone has the love and patience to train and take care of them so they are put down.

I apologize for the long post but people need to hear and learn about this. I didn’t know about this issue until I met Luna.
