El Fondo de Empoderamiento Edwards se complace en anunciar que otorgaremos becas a padres locales que son activos en la comunidad y que actualmente buscan títulos secundarios en universidades, escuelas de comercio y belleza y clases de inglés del área de Boston. Por favor aplique si usted es un residente de East Boston, North End, Winthrop, West End, Beacon Hill, and East Fenway. Los beneficiarios serán ejemplos brillantes de lo que significa ser miembros de la comunidad involucrados y comprometidos.

The Edwards Empowerment Fund is happy to announce we will be awarding scholarships to local parents who are active in the community and are pursuing additional eduation at colleges, trade and beauty schools, and English language classes! Recipients will be shining examples of what it means to be involved and engaged community members. Please apply if you are a resident of East Boston, Revere, North End, Winthrop, West End, Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and East Fenway

Completed applications can be emailed to [email protected]. Applications are due at 5:00pm on May 31st.

Last night the Edwards Empowerment Fund awarded four local parents over $10,000 in scholarship money to attend a trade school, college, or intensive English Language courses. I was proud to honor these amazing women who demonstrated and embodied the spirit and activism of the original Maverick Street Mothers.

Thank you to all our sponsors, attendees, selection committee members, and board members for their support and participation. Thank you to the original mothers. We stand on their shoulders and thank them for creating a better East Boston.

Last night, the Edwards Empowerment Fund awarded $10,000 in scholarship money to four deserving parents who demonstrated a commitment to giving back to East Boston.

We were proud to award the scholarship money in honor of the legacy Maverick Street Mother’s who fought to protect our neighborhood against airport expansion.

Thank you to attendees, sponsors, and board members for their support. I also want to give a special shoutout to our selection committee members who took time out of their week to choose our deserving applicants. Thank you to Tania Del Rio from Mayors Office of Womens Advancement, Michael Triant from Salesian’s Boys and Girls Club of East Boston, Justin Pasquariello from the East Boston Social Center, Nicole DeLisi DaSilva from Paris Street Community Center, and Joe Gaeta from the East Boston YMCA.
