Northeastern partners with the City of Boston to sanitize, sort, and distribute donated art supplies to YMCAs and community centers for youth across the city.

When Boston city officials got news early this week that a donor was sending an 18-wheeler full of art supplies for families, there was only one problem: Where would they unload and sort the supplies? Northeastern’s Matthews Arena, that’s where.

We're proud of our campus for opening up our doors to those on the frontlines of this crisis.

Northeastern will provide 135 rooms for first responders who live with someone who might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. The move addresses the growing need for safe places to stay for first responders who come in regular contact with people infected with the novel coronavirus.
