It's running time again folks!
Have you ever wanted to take on the Boston Marathon?

We’re excited to share that NBP has once again been awarded five invitational entries for the 131st Boston Marathon® presented by Bank of America!

On April 19, 2027, you’ll have the opportunity to run the world’s most famous marathon as part of Team NBP. We’re looking for passionate runners who are ready to take on 26.2 miles while raising critical funds for braille literacy. Team NBP runners commit to raising a minimum of $15,000 and will receive personalized training and coaching, fundraising guidance and support, virtual and in-person team gatherings, a tour of National Braille Press, a pre-Marathon team lunch or dinner, and a Team NBP singlet for race day.

It costs approximately three times more to produce a book in braille than a print book. At NBP, we believe blind individuals should never have to pay more for equal access to information. Your fundraising will help make that equality possible.

We had an amazing time last Friday at Short Path Distillery for our first ever Spirit of Literacy event! Guests got to experience a blindfolded gin and tonic tasting and a tour of the distillery!

So thankful to all our friends at State Street Corporation for coming in at the end of July to help us assemble of reprint of NBP customer favorite, “The Snail and the Whale” for our Great Expectations program!

State Street volunteers have been coming to 88 St. Stephen Street for many years now (and vice versa!!) and we can’t wait to have them back!

We’ve loved spending this week at the ADA Symposium ADA-Symposium | EVENT in Phoenix!
Our president and CEO Brian Mac Donald and our VP of Sales have gotten to connect with county, city and state ADA experts, consultants and agencies from across the country. NBP is always ready to support accessibility with ADA compliant signage in braille!

Congrats to our very own Joseph Quintanilla!!

Today the Woburn Host Lions invade Fenway Park! Our 76th President, Joe Quintanilla will be installed along with the starting lineup of Board of Directors for this upcoming Lions year! We will celebrate America’s pass time, our accomplishments over the last year and our members who have had a huge impact on our success! It will be great to be in one of the country’s most iconic venues to celebrate lionism, philanthropy! The Woburn Host lions Club will be in the same venue where baseball hall of famers have made their mark! We will be honoring our own hall of famers! We are proud to have a special event on the 250th year of our country at America’s favorite stadium!
