Fixing the doctor shortage requires a multi-pronged approach. Part of that approach must include Congressional support ending the freeze on federally funded residency training positions. We’re urging Congress to pass the Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act of 2019 (S.348/H.R.1763) which will help us take a step toward alleviating the shortage.
