Boston Gay Basketball League BGBL - Boston GLBTQ Basketball League provides a welcoming and fun environment for community and its allies to enjoy the game of basketball.

The BGBL promotes sportsmanship and camaraderie and is free from any and all discrimination.

Thank you to everyone who marched with us and cheered us on this past weekend. It was lovely to see all the support and to connect with the community.

A special thank you to Rolph Jean Baptiste for getting the truck and decking it out for the parade. We appreciate the time, effort, and commitment to the league. Many thanks to the other board members who coordinated our parade registration, ordered the tank tops, and provided general support during the day.

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of 2019 BGBL Hall of Fame Member Bob Benson.

Bob joined the BGBL in the 1995-1996 season & was integral in the early successes of the League. In his BGBL career Bob was a player, Coach, Assistant Commissioner, Treasurer, & League Sponsor. Bob was always helping the League through fundraisers, recruiting of new players, as well as assisting with the formation of the Women’s Division.

Bob will certainly be missed, especially by those individuals who were lucky enough to know him.
