Day 2 of the PCC Year 1 Roundtable is here 💛

Today the coalition is tackling what it really takes to make PMD research meaningful for patients, and imagining what the future of this field could look like. The conversations happening today will help shape the roadmap for PMD research and care for years to come.

This is community-guided evidence in action!

What do you hope the future of PMD research looks like?

Day 1 of the PCC Year 1 Roundtable is here! 💛

Today the coalition is asking the questions that matter most for the PMD community. Do current treatment guidelines actually reflect what patients experience? What do patients and providers really need from PMD research? To improve outcomes, we need research that asks the right questions.

What do you think needs to change in PMD treatment and care?
Tell us in the comments.

There is a way through the shame and self-blame 💛

PMDD doesn't just impact your body. It deeply affects your self-perception, emotions, and mental health. Many people with PMDs experience guilt, shame, and self-blame, feeling as though they're failing when symptoms take over.

Laura Teare-Jones' webinar, "PMDD and Mental Health: Breaking the Cycle of Shame and Self-Blame" explores why PMDs affect self-worth, and how to break free from the cycle of negative self-talk. Through guided reflection, you'll work to reframe unhelpful thoughts and separate your identity from your symptoms.

You'll also receive a Self-Compassion Workbook with journaling prompts and mindset-shifting exercises to continue this work beyond the session.

If you're ready to be kinder to yourself and change how you navigate PMDs emotionally, you can find the digital download here ⬇️

Today is Menstrual Hygiene Day, observed every year on May 28 to raise awareness about menstrual health, hygiene, education, and access to menstrual products worldwide.

Menstrual health is a public health issue and a human rights issue. For those living with a premenstrual disorder, it is also deeply personal. Many spend years navigating a healthcare system without the tools or language to advocate for themselves.

IAPMD's free PMD Empowerment Toolkit was designed to change that. Drawing on evidence-informed research and lived experience, it helps individuals understand their symptoms, recognize cycle patterns, communicate with providers, and advocate for the care they deserve!
