🎙️📉 Last week, the Boston School Committee reviewed Superintendent Skipper’s 2025–26 Summative Evaluation, which included mention of a notable change limiting school closure announcements to no more than 18 months in advance. While that was largely praised for keeping staff and families from leaving schools too early, Ross questions whether continually keeping families in the dark about school closures is doing long-term damage. Could this pattern be a direct driver of BPS’s ongoing enrollment decline, and what would it actually take to give families a data-driven roadmap forward?
