This Memorial Day weekend, union members from locals across New England gathered at Notre Dame Cemetery to place flags on the gravestones of our fallen soldiers.

A powerful reminder of the sacrifice made by so many and the importance of honoring those who came before us. Proud to stand alongside brothers and sisters who continue to give back to their communities and never forget the meaning of this weekend.

What a great time to be a union carpenter. I’m proud to be part of such a meaningful event.

Today we hosted our first ever Local 723 Apprentice Meeting. Ten members were joined by Business Representative and Local President Josh Colon and Full Time Instructor and Recording Secretary Mike “Tiny” Micklos.

We discussed minimum requirements, professional development, brotherhood, and the importance of union participation. We also talked about getting involved in union events, rallies, and mentorship opportunities to help build stronger careers and a stronger union.

A special thank you to guest speaker Patrick Trudell, President of the NASCTF Mentoring Program, who spoke to the apprentices about brotherhood, mentorship, and the importance of supporting one another throughout their careers.

The future is bright for these young carpenters, and Local 723 is proud to help guide the next generation of skilled union professionals. 💪🏼🛠️

📢 Local Jobs for Local People:
Standing Together in Chelsea!

Yesterday, our members showed up in force at the Chelsea Town Hall to send a clear message to the City Council.

The proposed redevelopment of the Fitzpatrick Housing site a massive project between Corcoran and the CHA is set to bring over 1,000 new units to our community. This is a huge turning point for Chelsea, and we made sure our voices were heard loud and clear: A project this size must be built by local people.
We stood together to ensure the City Council knows we are committed to see this project built with Union Labor.
Community Wealth Taxpayer funded and city backed projects should create career opportunities for the people who actually live here.

Quality & Accountability: Nobody cares more about the quality of Chelsea’s housing than the local workers who call this city home.
We aren't just asking for a seat at the table; we’re demanding that the hands building Chelsea’s future belong to Chelsea’s residents. 🏗️💪

Four years of hard work, early mornings, long days, and staying committed to the craft and it all paid off.

Today we celebrate our brother Iannis Vidianos on graduating from the apprenticeship program and earning the Golden Hammer Award 🔨💪🏽🤙🏽

This is not given it is earned. Day by day job by job proving yourself until you are no longer just learning the trade you are the trade.

Congratulations on becoming a journey level carpenter. Well deserved. Stay the course, the horizon is looking bright my friend
