Boston Explorers

Boston Explorers The entire city is our campground –from the tops of buildings, to neighborhoods and waterways.

Boston Explorers offers summer camp, paid opportunities for teens, and school-year leadership programs - all rooted in youth voice, creativity, and community connection. Boston Explorers is an urban day camp for kids ages 7-15
Every day in an electronic-free, inter-age setting, kids make things with their hands, and explore all over Boston by foot, bike, T & boat. Kids explore the natural, quirky

, cultural, sacred and historic spaces. Our goal is for all kids, regardless of family resources or zip code to full and equal access to our iconic city.

Big news from Boston Explorers! We have officially RElaunched as an independent nonprofit!!

Boston Explorers is now an independent nonprofit organization, continuing and expanding youth-centered programs rooted in exploration, leadership, and community connection.

We’re incredibly grateful to Someone Else's ChildFoundation for believing in this work and stewarding Boston Explorers as a program over the past three years - helping make this next chapter possible.

From summer camp and youth summer employment to youth philanthropy and other school-year leadership development, Boston Explorers creates meaningful opportunities shaped by youth voice and curiosity.

Led by Christine Dixon, Executive Director, and Natasha Wright, Director of Youth Programs, and supported by a passionate board and community partners, Boston Explorers is entering an exciting new chapter of growth and learning.

We invite families, partners, and community members to learn more, spread the word, and get involved! Please reach out! Check out our website!

The Future Link ColLab (Collaboration between Boston Explorers, Transformative Culture Project, and Steam the Streets) had a great workshop yesterday. Thank you to our host, IBA (Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción), and our Facilitator, Pedro Cruz (City of Boston - OYEA), as well as the community youth who attended, for making the workshop such a great event.
