Well, Hello, Great People! ♥️✨

MADMOMS is a grassroots organization with healing at the heart of everything we do, and I’m excited to introduce another healing pathway born from my own creative journey.

🎨 Coming this October: The Healing Creative Lounge — LIVE on Facebook!

This is going to be a relaxed, fun space where we simply come together, create, and heal. I’ll be working on my art journal, and you can create yours however you want, no rules, no pressure, and no art experience needed!

The healing pathways I share come from my own lived experiences. Things I’ve personally tried, practiced, and found helpful along my journey. Now I want to share some of that creativity and healing with our community. ♥️

So start gathering your journals, pictures, stickers, magazines, markers, little keepsakes, whatever speaks to YOU! I’ll also be sharing inspiration from the art-journaling world to help get those creative ideas flowing.

Stay tuned… we’re going to create, connect, and heal together.

Please share: ❤️ MADMOMS COMMUNITY EDUCATION: LET’S TALK ABOUT LIFE INSURANCE

This may not be a conversation we like having, but it is a conversation our families need to have.

Do you have life insurance? Does your family know you have it? Do they know where to find your policy information?

When someone we love passes away, a family is already dealing with grief. Worrying about how to pay for a funeral, burial, household bills or other expenses can make an already painful time even harder.

Life insurance can help provide financial protection for the people we leave behind.

And if you have been putting it off because you are worried about having to take a physical or medical exam, know that there are companies that offer no-medical-exam life insurance. For example, Globe Life currently advertises life insurance with a simple application and no medical exam. There are also other insurance companies and different types of policies, so shop around, compare coverage and premiums, read the policy carefully, and choose what is best for you and your family.

A few things every family should consider:

• Do I have enough coverage to help with my final expenses and other financial responsibilities?
• Have I named the correct beneficiary?
• Does my beneficiary know the policy exists?
• Does someone I trust know which insurance company I use and where my policy is kept?
• Have I reviewed my policy recently?

Please don’t assume life insurance is out of reach without looking into your options. Even a policy that doesn’t cover everything may provide important financial support for your loved ones.

At MADMOMS, we talk a lot about healing, grief and supporting families after loss. But part of supporting families is also encouraging one another to prepare before a loss happens.

Have the conversation. Ask the questions. Explore your options. Protect the people you love. ❤️
