As part of MADMOMS continuation of care services for those impacted by substance use and the traumatic loss of a loved one this will be one of our greatest accomplishments. My Ja’Maar loved to rap and we love music. Healing Harmonies“ aims to support families impacted by trauma by creating simple, heartfelt songs that express their experiences, emotions, and healing journeys. Through music, we will foster connection, understanding, and emotional expression. Ongoing studio sessions coming soon.

I’m reaching out to see if there’s interest in creating a virtual support group called “The Silence is Loud.” This group would be a safe place not only for families who care about loved ones struggling with substance use but also for those who feel disconnected and worry about their loved ones, unsure of where they are or what they are facing. Having my son missing and not knowing where he was sometimes and then losing him due to substance use, I understand the challenges, fears, and feelings of isolation that many of us endure.

The phrase "the silence is loud" captures the overwhelming emotions of uncertainty and grief that can accompany these experiences. If you resonate with this, I would love to hear from you! This group aims to offer support, share resources, and foster connection among families navigating similar paths.
