Boston Waterfront 5K

Boston Waterfront 5K TMF was founded to help patients and families living with neurological diseases.

The Boston Waterfront 5K is an annual fundraising event scheduled for September 12, 2026, supporting the McCourt Foundation's mission to cure neurological diseases while empowering communities to build a healthier world. Over the past few years, the foundation has expanded its mission to Neurology and Beyond, by supporting other Boston based nonprofits with charters focused on health, education, and financial assistance.

"My dad was my hero, and he was the greatest human on the planet." - Jamie Doherty

When Jamie Doherty lost her father to Parkinson’s in 2019, she channeled her grief into purpose. Running with a custom shirt reading "one more day, one more hug" and a hat decorated with names of loved ones lost to neurological diseases, Jamie runs to keep memories alive.

Last year, she unknowingly became our #1 individual fundraiser. This year, she’s back leading Team Pour Decisions and officially became the very first member of the $3K Club for the Boston Waterfront 5K!

These are our top fundraisers for the Boston Waterfront 5K, and we wanted you to see them.

Every dollar on this board is going toward curing neurological diseases and building healthier communities.
Keep going. There are 24 days left and there is real room to climb.

Now the fun part. 🏆

Jamie Doherty is officially the first person to join the $3K Club. She raised over $3,000, and she's earned herself a free entry into ASICS Los Angeles Marathon race weekend, two nights at the Fairmont in Century City, an exclusive Team TMF shirt, and VIP tent access at the start line.

She's the first. There are 4 spots left.

If you're anywhere close, this is the stretch. And if you're not close yet, keep going anyway! The rewards start at $200 and go all the way up to the 3K club at $3,000 raised. Rewards are available only for those fundraising for the McCourt Foundation.
