What an incredible day at Fenway Park!

A huge thank you to the Red Sox Foundation for the amazing invitation to bring Boston Area Walk participants out for an unforgettable experience. Not only did we get to take in a Red Sox game, but we had the privilege of learning CPR right on the field — alongside none other than Wally the Green Monster himself!

And if that wasn't enough, we got an up-close look at all four Red Sox World Series trophies. Seeing those in person is something our participants won't soon forget.

Events like this remind us how powerful it is when community organizations come together to make a real difference — combining fun, education, and heart (literally!) in one remarkable afternoon.

On the trail: Scenic hike with accessible trail options for all abilities. Hydration stops sponsored by along the way, plus photo props and picture-perfect moments scattered throughout the route. Leashed dogs welcome!

After the hike: BBQ, lawn games, and craft beer from and .

Kids zone: Coloring books, mini hard hats, and candy courtesy of All States Materials Group.

For 38 years, Ed served as an orthodontist in Montclair — getting to know thousands of patients and their families, celebrating their milestones, and sharing in their sorrows. Over those decades, he witnessed firsthand how su***de can shatter a family. Those losses never left him.

It was his daughter-in-law — facing her own mental health challenges — who first introduced Ed to the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention. "I am eternally grateful," he says simply.

This April, Ed is taking that gratitude to the streets of Boston.

Running the 2026 Boston Marathon with Team AFSP, Ed has set a goal as meaningful as the race itself: raise $26,200 — one dollar for every one of the 26.2 miles.

It's an ambitious goal. And it's exactly the kind of commitment AFSP's life-saving work deserves.

AFSP funds research, education, and crisis support that helps prevent su***de and support those left behind. Your donation — whatever the amount — brings Ed closer to his goal and helps bring hope to those who need it most.
