Dear YEP Alumni,

You are invited to join a focus group on April 17 on health/unhealthy relationships. See below for more info.

One Love Overview
One Love Foundation was created in 2010 in honor of Yeardley Love who was tragically killed by her college boyfriend. One Love’s mission is to teach young people the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships through engaging workshops and online video that opens people’s eyes to the presence of unhealthy and abusive behaviors in their lives. This content sparks conversations and gives people guideposts on how to talk about unhealthy and healthy relationships with the aim of preventing teen dating violence one conversation at a time.

Project Description
At One Love Foundation we are always looking to improve our content so that it addresses relevant issues for all youth and ultimately is more effective at teaching healthy and unhealthy relationships. We want our new content to be more diverse by representing all youth’s experiences and we would like input from YOU to help with this process.

We are looking to conduct a focus group with 6-8 YEP alumni and friends. Please feel free to bring a friend along. We will discuss topics such as what you would like to see in new videos, how you understood healthy and unhealthy relationships in high school, how you dealt with conflict, what stereotypes you want filmmakers to avoid when depicting your community and more. Please join us on April 17th, 2019 4pm-6pm @ 500 Boylston Street Boston MA 02116. Dinner will be provided and gift cards for your time.

The focus groups will review and discuss two short One Love videos- Behind The Post and Love Labyrinth. You should set aside 90 minutes - 2 hours for the total time (including dinner). Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you.

RSVP to Charlotte Miller [email protected] by April 16th, 2019. If you can’t make it for the in-person group but would like to share your thoughts and opinions, please RSVP anyway. We may be able to do a virtual group if there is enough interest.

"I nodded and listened, as I should have the day before. My son takes great care to live as a young principled man with strong character. And he felt I didn’t acknowledge that."

It is important to meet a young person where they're at. Ask them what they know, they want to show you and always teach you a thing or two.

As a mother of four vulnerable young people, I have to be strategic in how I approach hard discussions with them. But I need to trust myself that I’m doing a good job

Be brave, be bold, be beautiful. Be unapologetically you!

One mom is inspiring parents across the internet with this powerful letter that she wrote to her five-year-old daughter.

All hands on deck. This is really crucial stuff!
All in with Chris Hayes on MSNBC just revealed that Mitch McConnell will allow 90 SECONDS of debate on the Senate floor for the Graham-Cassidy "healthcare" bill. That's not a misstatement. Light up the phones if you don't want to see the end of coverage for pre-existing conditions, funding for Planned Parenthood, Medicaid as we know it, and so much more. They will not even wait for a CBO score before pressing the vote forward. This is dire. PLEASE make some calls to your Senators and all your Congressional delegation. Senate switchboard: (202) 224-3121.
