Yesterday, we celebrated girls, their voices, and the power of coming together. 💜✨

Chica Project was honored to serve on the Advisory Committee for the Girls Summit, organized by the Mayor's Office of Women's Advancement - Boston , as girls from across Greater Boston gathered for a day of connection, learning, and celebration in honor of International Day of the Girl.

Here’s to creating spaces where girls can show up as their full selves and know they belong!

Girls are more than the leaders of tomorrow. They are the changemakers of today. 💜

This International Day of the Girl, we celebrate their voices, their power, and their right to dream boldly, lead unapologetically, and shape their own futures.

When girls rise, communities transform.

Who am I, and what shapes who I’m becoming?

Today, our 7th grade chicas at MMA explored identity through reflection, conversation, and our “Big 8” activity. They unpacked the many layers of who they are, from race and culture to beliefs, experiences, and the things they’re still discovering about themselves.

The most powerful part? Watching them create space for honest conversations, new perspectives, and self-discovery.

Because knowing yourself is a powerful first step toward discovering your voice.
