The Union Park Neighborhood Association (UPNA), a non-profit organization in Boston’s South End, encompasses the area between Upton Street and Waltham Street and between Tremont Street and Harrison Avenue. Supported by contributions from residents and local businesses, its elected Board of Directors represents the interests of the neighborhood in civic matters, strives to maintain a safe and attractive neighborhood, and hosts a variety of social events throughout the year.

Join the Union Park Neighborhood Association next Saturday, June 13th, in Union Park for Tunes Under the Trees!

In partnership with the Community Music Center of Boston, we will feature music by Ayersmith and the CHP trio, led by Carlos Herrand Pou.

Gates open at 11:30 am, and music will begin at noon.

Last Sunday, the Union Park Neighborhood came together for our annual Spring Social and to honor Jamie and Sue Fox.

Jamie held many positions over his 20 years on the UPNA Board, including eight years as President. Jamie created the UPNA Club Card program, improved neighborhood cleanliness by creating a twice weekly UPNA-sponsored trash clean-up position, championed flashing beacon pedestrian crossings to improve safety and raised money with the support of City Hall, and more. Sue served on the board for about 15 years and co-chaired the Activities Committee. She organized concerts, holiday parties, restaurant gatherings, and family photo shoots in Union Park. She also led gatherings to introduce new residents to the neighborhood, helping foster a sense of community and encourage participation.

Thank you to our community volunteers for generously donating finances, time, and energy to make this day possible. Thank you also to our State representatives for honoring Jamie and Sue with us, local restaurants , , , , and for graciously donating food, and Revolutionary Snake Ensemble for filling the air with music.

We can’t wait to see you all again next year!

Our Neighborhood Spring Social is back! Please join the UPNA on Saturday, May 30th in Union Park from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. as adults from our community gather together and enjoy our beloved park.

We are also excited to honor Jamie and Sue Fox at this event with an award for their decades of leadership and service to the Union Park Neighborhood.
