Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority's aim is to enhance the quality of life within the community. Public service, leadership development and education of youth are the hallmark of the organization's programs and activities. Sigma Gamma Rho addresses concerns that impact society educationally, civically, and economically.

✨ Golden Island Escape 2026 ✨

Escape to Martha’s Vineyard with the Zeta Nu Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. for island vibes, fellowship, service, and plenty of good times!

We’ll kick off Monday, August 10, with the legendary Martha’s Vineyard Polar Bears at Inkwell Beach, followed by an evening welcome gathering. On Tuesday, August 11, join us for the Golden Sands Beach Party, featuring lunch, fun in the sun, and great company.

Attendees are also encouraged to support our Operation Big Book Bag drive benefiting Oak Bluffs Elementary School. Registration includes lunch and an exclusive Golden Island Escape swag bag filled with branded items and special surprises.

Did you know that approximately 10 people drown every day in the United States? Even more alarming, 70% of African American children and 60% of Hispanic children do not know how to swim, and African American children are three times more likely to drown than their white peers.

Through Swim 1922, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, in partnership with USA Swimming, is working to change those statistics by increasing access to swim education, water safety resources, and community awareness. 💙💛
