BOSTON J.U.M.P., INC., (Jamaica United Mission For Progress, hereinafter referred to as “JUMP”), is an approved 501(c) (3) organization based in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 2007, (the brainchild of Austin Waite), JUMP is an educational development organization with the primary focus of serving the Caribbean-American communities of Greater Boston and Jamaica, West Indies. JUMP is designed to

enhance educational opportunities, serve as an immigration resource and promote the Caribbean culture in Boston. Mission:
• To provide educational opportunities for under-represented children.
• To serve as a resource for the Caribbean-American Communities.
• Engage the Boston communities in learning about the richness and diversity of the Caribbean culture. To provide educational opportunities for under-represented children:
a. Provide scholarships to high school students matriculating to college/technical schools. Assist with educational costs such as lunch subsidy, transportation and school fees. Provide youth mentorship.

2. To serve as a resource for the Caribbean-American Communities:
a. Host Semi-Annual Immigration Workshops and United States Citizenship Casses. Host Career Development Workshops. Advocate for a Cultural Center in Greater Boston.

3. Engage the Boston communities in learning about the contribution, richness and diversity of the Caribbean culture:
a. Promote and support Caribbean cultural events in Greater Boston. Educate the Greater Boston communities about the Caribbean’s history and global contribution.

JAMAICA INDEPENDENCE PRAYER BREAKFAST, SATURDAY, JULY 27TH

This is a reminder that our Prayer Breakfast will be held July 27, 2019, 9:00 am - 12:00 noon at Peoples Baptist Church, 134 Camden Street (Corner of Tremont Street), Boston, MA. This will be a joyous and spirit-led celebration. The program schedule is as follows:

Coffee Hour........................8:30 am - 9:00 am

Worship Service ................9:00 am - 10:45 am

Breakfast Served...............10:45 am - 12:15 pm

Please note. This is a FREE event but we are asking folks to give a donation which will be used to support the shelters for victims of domestic violence in Jamaica. Due to space and resource limitations, seating at the breakfast will be on a first come, first served basis.

We need volunteers to assist at the worship service and at the breakfast.
