Welcome to the Boston Chapters of the National Stuttering Association Welcome to the Boston Chapters of the National Stuttering Association!

If you are a person who stutters, if you love someone who stutters, or if you are a Speech Language Pathologist, you are in the right place. Here you will be able to find information about the NSA Boston Chapter and the NSA Boston Family Chapter! The NSA Boston Chapters provide a safe space for those who stutter (adults and children, alike!), their loved ones, and professionals, to come together with others who share a common bond, for empowerment, education and excitement. NSA Boston Adult Chapter - - - Virtual meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. In-person events with the Boston Family Chapter are also held quarterly and take the place of regularly scheduled meetings. Today may be the first day of fall but we’re still wrapping up our favorite summer traditions! ☀️ The NSA Boston Chapters got together over the weekend for our end of summer bbq! 🍔 It was a great day filled with good food, great company and lots of fun! 🎉 Thanks to Edmund & Brett for hosting (and to Brett for being our official grill master)! 💜 We hope you’ll join us for our next events… Adult Chapter Meeting on October 1st and Family Chapter Apple Picking on October 4th! Happy fall! 🍂

It was a busy weekend for the NSA Boston Chapters… all in New Hampshire!! 🎉 On Friday, we caught our favorite cover band, Hey Blondie (featuring chapter members Mike & Linda Gioscia!) 🎶 and on Saturday, we headed to the track to watch a NASCAR truck series race! 🏁 Shout out to Debbie, the NH Chapter Leader, for joining us for both events! 💜 We’ve had a lot going on this summer and we’re looking forward to our end of summer BBQ on Saturday, September 19th! Hope to see you all there! ☀️

Some of the NSA Boston crew got together this weekend to wish Tom bon voyage! Tom’s leaving Boston to spend a year as a digital nomad to work on developing an app for the stuttering community. He’s headed to the UK, Serbia, Greece, and Italy… and that’s just for starters! We’re excited to follow along with his travels at ! We’ll miss you, Tom! Thanks for helping make the Boston stuttering community what it is. 💜

We took the NSA Boston spirit to Worcester today for a WooSox game! ⚾️ It was a beautiful day for baseball — and to be among people who stutter and their friends and family! ☀️ Some of us even made it onto the Jumbotron during the dance off! (Check out the video!) 🎉 Huge thanks to Christopher Ernest who organized the event! 👏 We can’t wait to see you all at our BBQ on September 19th! 💜

Looking for something fun to do in August? Feel like crossing state lines? Well, we have the answer for you… We’re taking things to New Hampshire on August 21-22 for two awesome events!

The Adult Chapter is heading to The Press Room in Portsmouth to see our favorite Blondie cover band, Hey Blondie, featuring Mike & Linda Gioscia!
Tickets are $15 in advance / $20 at the door.

We’re heading to the track to see Mason Massey, a race car driver who stutters, race in the NASCAR truck series!
All ages welcome.

We’re still riding the high from an incredible week in Charlotte at the NSA Annual Conference! 💜 We’re so proud of what a strong Boston presence we had and LOVED seeing our chapter members getting more involved! 🎉

Here are just some of the ways the NSA Boston crew showed up this year…

⭐ Mike and Ethan hosted trivia during every General Session, with Ethan closing things out on Saturday with a heartfelt thank you to his dad, Mike.

🎨 Edmund led his “stuttering and the arts” workshop again for the second year! He also led the Passing Twice workshop and facilitated a panel workshop for teens!

🎤 Tom hosted not one, but TWO Open Mic sessions—the conference’s first Open Mic and the closing First Timers Open Mic.

💜 Grace spoke at open mic AND at the closing ceremonies to share her experience as a first timer!

📝 Victoria performed an original poem at Stutter Slam and then shared it again during Closing Ceremonies!

🎉 Roksana welcomed everyone to Saturday morning’s General Session.

💃 Linda and Gigi led the Kids Dance Workshop and helped the kids shine during their Closing Ceremonies performance, featuring dancers Roksana and Isabella.

🙌 Sarah was everywhere—supporting Family Programs, speaking during General Sessions, facilitating Social Hour, leading the Chapter Leader Experience, and even being interviewed by the NSA film crew.

🎉 Lisa attended her very first NSA Annual Conference, and we’re so happy she finally got to experience the magic. She already says she’ll be back next year in Scottsdale!

We love seeing our members getting involved, challenging themselves, and sharing their stories. We’re already counting down the days until Scottsdale! Who’s joining us next year? 💜

The NSA Boston crew was well represented in Charlotte at the NSA Annual Conference! Our chapter members were enjoying every minute… up on stage, making connections, sharing experiences, leading workshops, and more! If you weren’t able to make it to Charlotte, plan to join us next year in Scottsdale, Arizona, from July 7th to 11th!
