Communities for Restorative Justice (C4RJ) is a community-police partnership that offers restorative justice to those affected by crime. Restorative Justice recognizes that crime is a violation of people and relationships, not just a violation of law. In the aftermath of wrong doing, our "circle" process includes in the decision-making those affected by crime: victims, offenders, loved ones, suppo

What an incredible evening at the C4RJ Concord Community Gathering!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Thursday to celebrate community and support restorative justice. What started in the late 1990s as a small, volunteer-led effort in Concord has grown into a thriving organization powered by dedicated staff and an amazing network of volunteers.

A heartfelt thank you to our Planning Committee — Di Clymer, John and Holly Cratsley, Jeff Campbell, and David Bell — for helping make the evening such a success.

We’re also grateful to TriCon Church for hosting us and to the TriCon Mission Committee for awarding C4RJ a grant to support our programs.

And a special shoutout to West Concord Wine and Spirits and Debra’s Natural Gourmet for their generous support!

Thank you for being part of this work and helping us build stronger communities through restorative justice.

Communities for Restorative Justice (C4RJ) is looking to connect with faith communities, places of worship, civic organizations, and community partners across the communities we serve.

We’d love the opportunity to speak about restorative justice, share our work, and explore ways to partner, including potential grant opportunities through faith communities, civic groups, and community foundations.

If you have a connection or would like to learn more, we’d be glad to connect!

We’re excited to share some leadership updates at C4RJ 💛

Please join us in welcoming Sarah Caputo as our new Board Chair and Dr. Jessica R. Wickenden, Ed.D. as Chair-Elect!

Sarah brings over 20 years of experience strengthening mission-driven organizations and a deep commitment to restorative justice and community-based responses to harm.

Dr. Wickenden is a deeply grounded leader in equity, belonging, and systems change, with a career rooted in education, community engagement, and justice-centered practice.

We are grateful for the vision, care, and leadership they both bring as we continue to grow and expand access to restorative justice across Massachusetts.

C4RJ is feeling so much gratitude for the time we got to spend learning with Lindsey Pointer and Kathleen McGoey through their Restorative Teaching Tools workshops 💛

The space they created was thoughtful, grounding, and deeply aligned with the heart of restorative work. It meant so much to learn, practice, and reflect together as a community.

We’re carrying so much forward into our work. Thank you both for your wisdom, care, and presence ✨
