For our countdown to Kalista's Brand Me commercial we are going to be revealing some of her amazing work from her Brand Me portfolio. The first piece of that work is from her Brand Me Who Am I? worksheet. This is one of the first steps in the Brand Me program and it promotes critical self-reflection and evaluation. Kalista did an excellent job with this and we are happy to share it here now.

A mission statement is a clear, concise statement of an organization's purpose. But mission statements don't have to be limited to corporations or organizations. Brand Me, as a Social and Emotional Learning program, prompts self exploration. One of the outcomes of this exploration is a mission statement, written by each Brand Me student that describes their purpose. We all have a purpose and while that purpose may change it is imperative that we take ownership in establishing it as a crucial component of coalescing our identity. Today we are proud to share Kalista's mission statement for the first time ever. We are very proud of her and the work she did define her self and come up with this mission statement:

A chef or an artist that values respect, availability and friendship.

One of the most enduring visual representations of their transformative experiences that Brand Me alumni carry with them is the logo that they create. Their logo represents how they view themselves and how they choose to present themselves to the world. This beautiful design was created by Kalista during her time with Brand Me and we are proud to share her logo for the world to see!
