We are xcited to endorse Yes on 2 for Ranked Choice Voting along with March For Our Lives Massachusetts. Question 2 puts more power in the hands of voters, encourages consensus among candidates, and allows more diverse voices to be heard. Voting is the core of our democracy and we must protect and strengthen it any chance we get. Please vote YES on Question 2. βœ…βœ…βœ…

(SWIPE) On this National Voter Registration Day, we demand that the State of Massachusetts and Boston, make Voting Day a Holiday! Voting day should be equitable and accessible to everyone in Boston, no matter if you have to work or not. Creating a voting holiday makes space for all to make their voice heard. We are demanding that the State and Cities of Massachusetts make a resolution to declare November 3rd, 2020, and every election date after, a public holiday. The right to vote is one of the most life-changing decisions that impact us each and every day. Bostonians deserve the right to vote with the accessibility of not losing a day of work or school. The power and impact of voting are beyond each and every one of us and determines the livelihood of ourselves and the future generation. This election and the next ones to come we must ensure passivity for voters since it is our civic duty to do vote!

(SWIPE) TOMORROW from 6-8pm March For Our Lives: Massachusetts () along with Boston Climate Strike () will be hosting a youth forum between Senator Ed Markey and Representative Joe Kennedy III. Young people are the future and we have led on a variety of issues. From the fight to end gun violence to saving our climate. The forum provides a unique opportunity for youth across Massachusetts to meaningfully interact with the two leading Senate candidates. You can RSVP at bit.ly/youthforumrsvp and we are accepting questions at bit.ly/youthforumquestions!

In addition please read our brief statements in the next slides talking about the intersectionality between gun violence, the climate crisis and its relationship to the Black Lives Matter Movement and how we will structure this forum to make sure that important issues that are being centered in this movement are brought front and center.

STATEMENT REGARDING THE YOUTH DEBATE
After communicating with both campaigns we are announcing that due to legal reasons we will be hosting a youth forum instead of a youth debate with both candidates. On July 15th from 6-8pm Senator Ed Markey and Representative Joe Kennedy III will both be attending a youth forum. From 6-7pm Senator Ed Markey will be speaking and from 7-8 Rep. Joe Kennedy will be speaking. We hope to see you there! @ ZOOM
