(SWIPE) On this National Voter Registration Day, we demand that the State of Massachusetts and Boston, make Voting Day a Holiday! Voting day should be equitable and accessible to everyone in Boston, no matter if you have to work or not. Creating a voting holiday makes space for all to make their voice heard. We are demanding that the State and Cities of Massachusetts make a resolution to declare November 3rd, 2020, and every election date after, a public holiday. The right to vote is one of the most life-changing decisions that impact us each and every day. Bostonians deserve the right to vote with the accessibility of not losing a day of work or school. The power and impact of voting are beyond each and every one of us and determines the livelihood of ourselves and the future generation. This election and the next ones to come we must ensure passivity for voters since it is our civic duty to do vote!
