The Downtown Boston Residents' Association is an independent organization that was formed in 2014 by residents of the Downtown neighborhood.

DBNA is the independent, resident-led voice for Downtown Boston - bringing residents, students, businesses, institutions, and community partners together around the issues and opportunities shaping our neighborhood. The 600+ member organization, run exclusively by volunteers residing in the neighborhood, facilitates community building and ensures that residents are informed and have a voice in key decisions that stand to impact Downtown Boston.

Sharing a public safety update from this past Friday for residents and stakeholders who may not have seen it:

Boston Police arrested a man this past Friday following two separate morning assaults in Downtown Boston.

According to BPD, one victim suffered puncture wounds to the arm (CVS at 631 Washington St) and a second victim suffered a laceration to the neck (at a restaurant on West Street). Both were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was apprehended shortly afterward by Boston Police with assistance from Suffolk University Police.

We’re sharing this update as part of our ongoing effort to keep Downtown Boston residents and stakeholders informed about significant public safety incidents in the neighborhood.
