In our opinion, likely worth reading about and updating the Chinese language Wikipedia articles about Yue Chinese languages in BOTH Mandarin AND Cantonese for those with good bilingual (or trilingual) language competencies.

There SO MANY DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES (and sorting out ANY of them is so tedious to do).

"Language is a wonderful human invention or innovation! We can do SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS with language."

Indeed, the diversity of personalities and the intricacies of human interactions can be quite complex and sometimes challenging to navigate.

Language stands as a remarkable human invention, offering us an extraordinary tool for expression and understanding.

It serves as a bridge that allows us to connect, share ideas, and navigate the vast array of personalities and perspectives.

In embracing the versatility of language, we unlock the ability to communicate, empathize, and appreciate the richness of the diverse tapestry of human experience.

Because parking is so problematic for drivers from the outside, we encourage the use of public transportation (E-Line to Brigham Circle, then 'walk back' to Harvard Chan School). OR parking a few blocks away (near Evans Way behind Wentworth and near MassArt and the Gardiner Museum).

More attendees appear at weekly Meetups WHEN non-administrative group members POST to the Meetup and/or Facebook groups and SAY that they are planning to attend, and when they give that message energetically and enthusiastically.

The Chan Family that donated the 'name-changing money' to Harvard spoke fluent Cantonese natively as well as fluent Mandarin Chinese natively and fluent English natively.

Continue the Chan tradition with our bilingual chats.

NEAT LOOKING VOLUNTEERS who love DOGS and young people (Boston)

The annual Mission Hill Health Fair needs all kinds of volunteers to help out in general ways.

But one activity specifically needs NEAT LOOKING VOLUNTEERS who love DOGS and young people to help at
a table on "THE EXPERIENCES of ANIMALS living in CITIES.

The challenges will be operationally simple, but 5-8 persons are needed to help children and their parents, and other residents who have dogs or may think that they want dogs to fill out dog-shaped cutouts describing their animals' experiences living in the cities.

"My dog is bothered by..."
"Other than conversations, my dog hears..."
"City noises my dog hears are..."
"What my dog thinks about cars, trucks, trains, buses: "

etc.

Chinese-owned US-based export business seeks native English speaker who also speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently

Hongfang Yang is a member of this meetup. We had met before in a business setting where we were both involved.

She had been in the Mandarin-English meetup for quite a while.

Her friend, LIU Yan, needs for his US-based export (to PR China) business a native English speaker who also speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently.

This is a paid role in a business. Yan will compensate the bilingual speaker financially; it is not an unpaid role.

Are you interested, please check with me.
If not, could you please spread the word to friends who may have the necessary skills (native English speaker who fluently speaks Mandarin Chinese), and/or recommend to me/her/him anyone whom you think might be suitable for the job.

FORWARD THIS POSTING to your timeline, your likely groups, and your qualifying friends.
