We believe that LGBTQ youth have the ability to overcome adversity and succeed by providing positive support networks and opportunities (protective factors) that promote success, rather than eliminating the factors that promote failure. We model optimism about the future by providing LGBTQ youth with adult mentors who have overcome challenges - instilling confidence and belief in their own ability

to succeed. We promote LGBTQ youth to identify their unique strengths and needs, set goals for their futures (self-determination), and advocate for the supports that they need to be successful.
