East Boston Playhouse East Boston's own community theatre company East Boston Playhouse is a non-profit community theater located here in Eastie! We perform two shows every year.

All ages are welcome to audition and help with productions, and all levels of talent are welcome.

You are all invited to our first ever Broadway Trivia Night!

We are so excited to host this event and have some fun with all of you! We miss you and hope this evening is a night to relax, hang with friends, get to know us, connect with new people, and have some yummy drinks and snacks!

📍WHERE: Caffe Dello Sport - 973 Saratoga Street, East Boston MA

⏰ WHEN: Thursday January 29th @7:30pm-9pm

A few things to know before the event:
- This is completely free! Just come as you are and enjoy the night!
- Caffe Dello Sport has some yummy drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks. Feel free to browse the menu on their website!
- Space is limited so please plan accordingly. We encourage you to RSVP, but the evening will be first come, first serve.
- If you are thinking of coming with a team, we suggest up to 4 - people per team.
- We will start promptly at 7:30pm.

It’s been some weeks, but we are still so grateful to everyone who came to see our production of KIMBERLY AKIMBO! This show was full of love, hope, heartbreak, and the desire for another chance. Thank you to the cast for their hard work and care for these stories, the crew for the attention and thought they put into every detail to make sure we told this story, and the audience who are crucial to make sure we bring this story to life.

We are so happy we were able to come back on stage after all this time, and hope to be announcing more exciting things for this year! Also thank you to our sponsors , , for support this production, to for welcoming us to their space and helping us put all the final details on our show, to for allowing to spend 3 months rehearsing and making sure we always had what we need, and to for these amazing photos!

🎭 OPENING NIGHT for KIMBERLY AKIMBO!! 🎭

We have put together a wonderful production and we cannot wait to see you all tonight!

If you are planning on coming to the show, please plan accordingly. Tonight, Friday June 13, the show will start promptly at 7pm. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tomorrow, Saturday June 14, doors will open at 1:30pm to start at 2pm, and then again at 6:30pm to start at 7pm.

A limited amount of tickets will be available at the door. If you plan to purchase tickets when you arrive, we accept cash or checks. Unfortunately we cannot accept cards at the moment. Tickets are available online up until 1 hour before the show.

If you are using public transportation, please allow plenty of time, since the Blue Line is using shuttle buses this weekend.

The play that inspired the Tony Award winning musical, is a hilarious and heartrending play about a teenager with a rare condition causing her body to age faster than it should. When she and her family flee Secaucus under dubious circumstances, Kimberly is forced to reevaluate her life while contending with a hypochondriac mother, a rarely sober father, a scam-artist aunt, her own mortality and, most terrifying of all, the possibility of first love.

Please note this production contains some adult language.

🌴 Meet Debra 🌴

A proud longtime member of the Playhouse family, Christina has been involved since its very first production: on stage performing, and off stage as part of the crew.

Christina plays Debra in KIMBERLY AKIMBO, and shared her thoughts on the production and coming back to the stage after 5 years…

“For me, at the heart of this story is hope—and a belief in second chances, even when life is messy or absurd. I think audiences will see a bit of themselves in these characters and in their longing for something more. In a way, this production is also a second chance for the Playhouse. Even though we were quiet for a couple of years, we never gave up hope that we’d find our way back to the stage. I’m so grateful we get to share that comeback—and this story—with you.

It’s officially tech week and we want you to continue meeting our cast and crew!

💕 Meet Pattie 💕

Javi is one of East Boston Playhouse’ founders! This is Javi’s first time on stage with the Playhouse after directing The Diary of Anne Frank, Steel Magnolias, Almost, Maine, and The Little Prince and producing all EBP shows to date.

She shared what it means to now be on stage and play Pattie in KIMBERLY AKIMBO,

“Working on this show has truly been a gift. It’s a privilege to be on stage this time, working side by side with people who have supported EBP since the very beginning. Plus, having the chance to bring Pattie to life has been such a blessing. She brings so much laughter, but also beautiful moments of honesty. I can’t wait for you to meet her!”
