UMass Boston's FLI 2011

UMass Boston's FLI 2011 To lead people, walk beside them ... As for the best leaders, the people do not notice their existence. The next best, the people honour and praise.

The Freshman Leadership Institute (FLI) is an innovative leadership program for first-time, first-year students to create lasting relationships, build upon leadership skills and construct the path of their future at UMass Boston and beyond. The next, the people fear; and the next, the people hate ... When the best leader's work is done the people say, 'We did it ourselves!'"

UMB freshma

n took an opportunity to make connections with other UMass Boston students interested in leadership, and have committed to making a mark as a leader at our University. We're building a community of students, and what happens from here on out is up to us. We had our Leadership Retreat at Camp Wing September 23 - 25 in
Duxbury, MA, and this group exsists to continue the relationships started during that weekend. Through the semester, leadership sessions are held from 4:45pm — 6:00pm on the following Mondays:

• October 3, 2011
• October 17, 2011
• October 24, 2011
• November 7, 2011
• November 14, 2011
• November 28, 2011

FLI students are also expected to attend the Freshman Day of Service on October 22nd, and the Freshman Night Out on November 4th. Let's discover our strengths, and change our world.
