Kelsey just completed the production of Sticks & Stones in conjunction with Kidding Around and we are all ready to start a new show! If you are interested in being part of a Word for Word show similar to "S*x, Love, and Valentine's Day" send us an email at [email protected] or [email protected]. We are looking for an ensemble of 10 to pull together a night of monologues based on interviews about people's crazy holiday stories (thank you Jessica Martens for the suggestion)! Hoping to put this up before the end of the semester! We can do it!

Hey all our big fall semester show in conjunction with Kidding Around STICKS & STONES opens this Saturday at 8pm in the Cabaret! The show goes through Sunday 20th with two chances to see it at 2pm and 8pm. Tickets are free just email [email protected] to reserve them with your name, number of tickets and date and time of show! You will not want to miss this!

I hope you all got the email about The Civilian's Home Auditions this coming Saturday and Sunday! So for whatever reason you couldn't do the Word for Word/Kidding Around show, please try auditioning for this because it looks awesome and this is the group that inspired the creation of Word for Word! So go audition!

Info:
Sign up for auditions on the 6th floor of Tufte
When: October 1st 4-6pm and October 2nd 11-1pm
Where: Paramount Studios 1 & 2
What: If an actor, bring headshot and resume and prepare a 1-3 minute contemporary, comedic monologue. Everyone auditioning be prepared for a short interview regarding interest in the project and the question of: What does home mean to you?

For further info on rehearsal and performance schedule, check your email. If you lost the email, you can let Word for Word know and they'll shoot you an email with that information.

Congratulations to the cast of Word for Word and Kidding Around 's Investigative Theatre Exploration on Bullying in Schools! Thank you to everyone who auditioned, Kelsey honestly wishes she could cast all of you. You will be kept in mind for future shows throughout the semester!

Special request to all kids returning to school soon. If you see someone who is struggling to make friends or being bullied because they don't have many friends or because they are shy or not as pretty or not dressed in the most "in" clothes, PLEASE step up. Say hi or at least smile at them in the hallway. You never know what that person might be facing outside of school. Your kindness might just make a BIG difference in someone's life!

Just had a great conference call about our show *working title* "An Investigative Theatre Exploration of Bullying in Schools"! We are collaborating with Kidding Around! Kelsey Hogan and Theresa Nguyen are co-directing and Natalie Bruno from Kidding Around is producing! Hope you all will audition and come see the show next semester (Fall 2011) and that you are having awesome summers!
