A heartfelt thank you to Dutchess Tri-Valley Girl Scout Troop #10182 for their outstanding contribution to the exhibit Assembled Identities: Interchanging Roles Within Community. Their creative work brought to life a vibrant cast of characters inspired by the Hudson Valley’s three pillars—The Riverkeeper, The Rock Guardian, and The Orchard Dreamer.

Through their imagination and collaboration, the Scouts, along with visitors to the Pleasant Valley Library today, transformed these figures into something truly meaningful. I’m deeply grateful to the library staff and to Linda Hanlon for her own style of magic and championing this project every step of the way.

If you haven’t yet, please stop by the Pleasant Valley Library to experience the exhibit and contribute your own words. This is a living project—one that grows richer with each voice from the community added, including yours!

It is a challenge to describe the incredible week it’s been with some of my favourite people. Through the arts, we explored addiction, the social determinants behind it, and the systems that shape both. The art exhibit was powerful, intense, and standing room only. People came from across Dublin’s services and programmes — including the Garda Síochána — to listen to the stories, keeping those most affected by trauma and addiction at the centre.

At Ground Level – North Side Edition - is a public art project that invites people with living experience of drug use to create temporary artworks using reclaimed cardboard. Installed along pedestrian walkways at ground level, the work brings often-overlooked stories into public view—asking passersby to slow down, notice, and reflect. This project centers lived experience, accessibility, and creative expression outside of traditional art spaces.

I’m delighted to share that I’ll be hosting an exhibit of my artwork—and you’re warmly invited!

If you’re in the Hudson Valley on Saturday, May 2, please join me for the opening at the PV Library anytime between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. In addition to the exhibit, there will be a collaborative art and writing experience open to all - facilitated through Saints & Scholars, Inc.

Even if you’re unable to attend in person that day, you’re still invited to contribute words, reflections, or ideas to the collective piece. Your contributions will become part of the exhibit as it continues to evolve throughout May 2026—creating a shared, living work. I’d love for you to be part of it.
