It is with profound sadness that we honor the life and service of Sergeant Chris Fisher of the Warm Springs Police Department (GA), who was tragically killed in the line of duty on September 1, 2026.

Sergeant Chris Fisher was shot and killed outside the Meriwether County Inn in Warm Springs, Georgia around 11:57 p.m.

Sergeant Fisher was sitting in his patrol vehicle after completing a traffic stop when a man pulled up next to him and fired into the patrol vehicle, killing Sergeant Fisher at the scene.

The man drove away, and a Blue Alert was issued. The suspect was transported to a South Carolina hospital, where he passed away after he was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound during a traffic stop. The suspect is believed to be a man whom Sergeant Fisher arrested the week prior.

Sergeant Fisher had served with the Warm Springs Police Department for three months and previously served with the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and Heard County Sheriff’s Office. Survivors include his wife and two children. His father also served in law enforcement.

We extend our deepest condolences to Sergeant Fisher’s wife, children, family, friends, fellow officers, and all those who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Rest easy, Sergeant Fisher. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🙏

About Sheriff Michael K. Neal:

Michael Kent Neal is currently in his 12th year serving as Sheriff of Monroe County and his 28th year in law enforcement. Sheriff Neal is a former Corporal with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, where he was assigned to Lee County.

Michael began his law enforcement career in 1998 as a part-time officer with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, eventually working his way up and serving nine years as a deputy. He also served 10½ years with Brinkley Fire and Rescue as an instructor, retiring in 2009 with the rank of Captain.

On October 7, 2007, Michael was hired by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, where he served seven years as a wildlife officer.

On May 20, 2010, Officer Neal was instrumental in ending a brutal gun battle in West Memphis that resulted in the deaths of two West Memphis police officers and the wounding of the Crittenden County Sheriff and his chief deputy.

Sheriff Neal has received numerous awards related to the May 20 shooting, including three Medals of Valor and being named co-recipient of the 2011 International Officer of the Year award. On February 20, 2012, Officer Neal was awarded the Congressional Medal of Valor by the President of the United States.

In 2018, Sheriff Neal's truck, rifle, and uniform were inducted into the National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington, D.C., where they remain on permanent display.

We are heartbroken to announce the line of duty death of Officer Christopher DeLong Jr. of the Columbia, SC Police Department. Officer DeLong was shot and killed responding to a domestic disturbance on the morning of August 29, 2026.

Officer DeLong had initially responded to a report of property damage from a domestic dispute. After leaving the original call, he identified a subject and vehicle matching the reported description at a nearby location and called it in. When backup officers arrived a few minutes later, Officer DeLong and another officer had been shot. Officer DeLong succumbed to his wounds at the scene.

The suspect died at the scene.

Officer DeLong had served with the Columbia Police Department for nearly two years. Survivors include his wife and two children. He was 29 years old.

We were proud to attend National Night Out this week alongside both the Medford Police Department and the Wilmington, Massachusetts Police Department. It was an evening filled with great conversations, smiling faces, and the opportunity to share our mission with so many members of the community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, show your support, and learn more about the Brotherhood for the Fallen- Boston. We are grateful for every opportunity to raise awareness of our mission to support the families of our fallen heroes.

Thank you to the Medford and Wilmington Police Departments for having us—we had a fantastic time and look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

We are heartbroken to announce the line of duty death of Las Vegas Metro Police Officer Zade Abdelnabi. Officer Abdelnabi was shot and killed responding to a call regarding an armed subject on August 4, 2026.

Before 4:00 p.m., Officer Abdelnabi and other officers went to investigate reports of an armed intoxicated man at a local business. When they arrived at the location, they were met with gunfire, and shots were exchanged.

Officer Abdelnabi was transported to University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his wounds.

The suspect died at the scene.

Officer Abdelnabi was a United States Marine Corps veteran and had served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for over two years. Survivors include his wife, parents, two brothers, and a sister. He was 30 years old.

Our Brotherhood for the Fallen family in Chicago needs our help.

Last week, during their annual golf tournament fundraiser, a sudden and powerful storm with tornado-force winds ripped through the event, destroying approximately $10,000 worth of merchandise, raffle prizes, silent auction items, and equipment in a matter of minutes.

For organizations like ours, these fundraisers are how we continue to honor our fallen heroes and support the families they leave behind. Every dollar raised is intended to go directly toward that mission. Instead, our brothers and sisters in Chicago are now faced with replacing what was lost.

We were proud to support the k9kittfoundation at their Falmouth road race fundraiser last night held at ALBA Restaurant.

The K9 Kitt Foundation Honors the legacy of K9 Kitt by equipping and supporting K9 teams across the nation. Their mission is to honor the legacy of Kitt by ensuring the safety and effectiveness of K9 teams, Guardian of the Guardians. The K9 Kitt Foundation is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing relief to injured K9 teams across the country, supporting law enforcement by providing essential resources, training, and equipment to K9 units.
