Last night at Paradise Rock Club for Hot Stove Cool Music—

A stage full of distinct voices, different styles, different generations, and one shared sense of joy moving through the room.

These images say a lot on their own—moments under the lights, in the music, and in the kind of atmosphere that reminds you why this event means so much year after year.

Hosted by Foundation To Be Named Later, Hot Stove Cool Music is always about more than the performance itself. It brings people together around music, heart, and a genuine sense of connection.

Grateful to have been there for it.

Last night at Hot Stove Cool Music inside Paradise Rock Club, Leon Beal Jr. stepped up—you could feel it… every note landing, the crowd right there with him, fully engaged.

His voice—raw, soaring, and deeply soulful—has that rare way of lifting a room mid-thought. You could feel it…every note landing, every lyric carrying weight.

The night, hosted by Foundation To Be Named Later, was filled with more than just music. Across performances, there was a clear throughline: kindness, togetherness, and showing up for one another.

But this moment right here—this was something else.

Grateful to witness it. Even more grateful for what it all supports.

Soundcheck moments like this… you feel it before the room even fills.

Caught Peter Gammons settling in at Hotel Commonwealth ahead of the Hot Stove Cool Music Kickoff—where music, baseball, and giving all show up in the same room.

Hosted by Foundation To Be Named Later, this weekend always draws a crowd that gets it.

Tonight’s preview: the HSCM All-Stars getting ready for Paradise Rock Club on April 11
Featuring Fountains of Wayne (yes, that song), plus Alex Ortiz—daughter of David Ortiz—and a lineup that only HSCM pulls together: Kay Hanley, Will Dailey, Gail Greenwood + more.

VIP energy early. Full room later. All for a cause.

An evening rooted in possibility ✨

Tonight, we gathered at Hotel Commonwealth for the Scholarships Dinner, hosted by Foundation To Be Named Later—bringing together scholars, alumni, mentors, partners, and champions of education under one roof.

The evening opened with warm welcome remarks from Shane McWeeney, General Manager of Hotel Commonwealth, followed by reflections from Paul Epstein, Founder of Foundation To Be Named Later.

We were inspired by words from Peter Gammons, whose commitment to the Gammons Scholarship continues to light the way for generations of scholars.

Alumni speaker Daunte Pean (2020 Scholar) reminded us of the lasting impact of belief, access, and opportunity. Mentor and mentee reflections from Eriberto Pimentel and Christine Ahanotu underscored the power of connection and guidance.

The Scholar Panel—moderated by Allyce Najimy—featured voices spanning more than a decade of FTBNL scholars:

• Mariano Suriel Guerrero (2012)
• Nicholas Uchendu (2014)
• Richard Dorsey (2023)
• Alyssa Mascarenhas (2024)
• Jasmina Phan (2024)

The evening closed with heartfelt remarks from Iene Epstein and Lesly Suriel Guerrero, reflecting on community, continuity, and the shared responsibility to keep the door open for those coming next.

This was more than a dinner.
It was a moment of recognition, reflection, and renewed purpose.

Thank you to everyone who continues to be part of the light.
