Last night at Fenway. Chris Stapleton. And another incredible night for FTBNL. 🎶⚾️
There’s just something about summer nights at Fenway, and this one did not disappoint. Chris Stapleton brought the guitar, his band and a packed ballpark along for the ride.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, supporters, scholars and friends who joined us and helped make another concert night such a great one.

We love seeing our FTBNL community show up, have some fun and be part of these nights with us.

A new chapter begins.

Our Gammons Boston Scholars gathered at Kings Seaport for this year’s mentor-mentee match celebration, welcoming a new class of scholars while building connections that will last well beyond tonight.

One of the most meaningful moments? Seeing our alumni come full circle. Congratulations to Darius, Nicholas, and Lesly—members of our earliest scholar classes—who have officially stepped into the role of mentor. Watching former scholars return to guide the next generation is exactly what Foundation To Be Named Later is all about.

And to our friend Peter Gammons—we missed you tonight, but we know you’ll be cheering this incredible group on! See you soon! ❤️

One incredible evening. Countless familiar faces.
Our Chicago trip continued with The Lovable Reunion Live, an unforgettable celebration marking the 10-year anniversary of the Cubs’ historic 2016 World Series Championship. The evening brought together players, friends, supporters, sponsors, and members of the extended Cubs family to celebrate a team—and a moment—that will forever be part of baseball history.
Leading this collection is a great shot of Theo Epstein and Ryan Dempster, followed by a few of the many faces that made the night so special. From longtime friends like Freddie Crenshaw, Chris Chelios, Nicole Drusinsky, Joel Murray, and so many others, the room was filled with people who have continued to make a difference both on and off the field.
For Foundation To Be Named Later, it’s always meaningful to reconnect with the Chicago community that has embraced our mission from the very beginning. The friendships, generosity, and shared commitment to creating opportunities for young people are what make these gatherings so memorable.

A decade later, and the excitement is just as real.

This weekend, Chicago came together to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Cubs’ historic 2016 World Series championship. From special events throughout the city to today’s on-field tribute at Wrigley Field, it was a weekend filled with memories, gratitude, and the unmistakable energy that only Cubs fans can create.

For Foundation To Be Named Later, Chicago has always been more than a destination. While our story began in Boston, our connection to Chicago runs deep. Founded by Theo and Paul Epstein, FTBNL is rooted in the belief that sports can open doors, create opportunity, and change lives.

We were honored to celebrate alongside our scholars, nonprofit partners, and the sponsors whose generosity makes our mission possible. To everyone who welcomed us, shared these moments, and continues to invest in the next generation—thank you.

Here’s to a championship that will never be forgotten, a city that continues to inspire us, and the incredible community that makes our work possible in both Chicago and Boston.

One of the best parts of every Foundation To Be Named Later trip is seeing our community come together.

What a great afternoon at Kings in Chicago, where scholars, mentors, supporters, and our incredible nonprofit partners gathered to connect, celebrate, and simply enjoy time together. These moments remind us that meaningful relationships are built not only through programs, but through shared experiences, laughter, and community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to our nonprofit partners for helping make the day so special. We’re grateful to be surrounded by organizations and individuals who are committed to opening doors and creating opportunities for young people.

Thank you to Marty Lennertz, The BASE Chicago, College Possible, Youth Guidance, Uniting Voices Chicago, Joe Shanahan and Metro, and, of course, Allyce Najimy for bringing people together in such a meaningful way.

One unforgettable evening led to another in Chicago.
As part of the celebration marking the 10th anniversary of the Chicago Cubs’ historic 2016 World Series Championship, FTBNL attended The Lovable Reunion Live at the iconic Chicago Theatre—a sold-out evening that brought together many of the players, coaches, and leaders behind one of baseball’s most memorable seasons. Hosted by Cubs broadcaster Boog Sciambi, the live event featured stories and behind-the-scenes memories from Anthony Rizzo, David Ross, Joe Maddon, Jake Arrieta, Kyle Hendricks, Dexter Fowler, Miguel Montero, and more, giving fans an inside look at the team that changed Chicago forever.
The night included a special appearance by lifelong Cubs fan Eddie Vedder, who performed his beloved anthem All the Way alongside Theo Epstein—a fitting tribute to a championship that still means so much to the city and its fans.
Among the evening’s memorable moments were opportunities to reconnect with friends and colleagues, including former Cubs Charities Executive Director Connie Falcone, whose leadership helped strengthen the organization’s impact throughout the championship years.
It’s been an incredible week of celebrating baseball, community, and the relationships that continue to grow from one unforgettable season.
