There is more than one road to a great future.

This week of BPS College & Career Month is all about exploring secondary and postsecondary pathways: four-year colleges, community colleges, HBCUs, HSIs, career training, apprenticeships, certifications and other options.

Two great opportunities are coming up this week:

🎓 October 12: BPS State School College Tour
🎓 October 15: BPS College & Career Resource Fair & Building Bridges Postsecondary Pathways Resource Expo

Students: Ask questions. Meet people who have taken different paths. Explore options you might not have considered. Many Boston organizations offer free resources to help you take your next step.

What are you good at? What do you love doing? What problems would you like to help solve?

Those questions can be the beginning of your college and career journey.

This week, as Success Boston and Boston Public Schools celebrate the 20th year of College & Career Month, we’re encouraging students to connect their skills and interests to possibilities for the future.

There is no single “right” path after high school, and you don’t need to have everything figured out today. Exploring what interests you can help you discover colleges, training programs and careers you may never have considered.

Start with what you know about yourself. Ask questions. Explore what’s possible. Your path doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

October is College & Career Month in Boston Public Schools and we’re kicking off the 20th year with College & Career Pride Day!

Wear it. Share it. Tell us why.

Today BPS schools, educators, partners, alumni and community members are celebrating the many paths students can take after high school. Wear or share something that represents a college, training program, career, trade or other pathway - and tell students about the journey that got you where you are today.

Students: Your path doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Explore what interests you, ask questions and discover what’s possible.

Share your College & Career Pride Day photos and stories and tag Boston Public Schools and Success Boston.
