How awesome that this is in our chapter. Thank you to the NPS designers, builders, stewards, & staff who make Acadia accessible to so many. The incredible stone work- steps, curbs, markers - that subtly, significantly guide water & people. Conservation and restoration began over a century ago and continues, and we are grateful.

However you celebrate the summer, may you spend time in a favorite landscape!

Three BSLA members — landscape architects Liz Luc Clowes, Boston Food Forest Coalition, Luisa Oliveira Somerville Parks , and Caseylee Bestian BSC Group, Inc. — were in conversation with urban farmers and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley in celebration of urban agriculture week in Massachusetts. The congresswoman continues to fight for funding for urban food production and open space in the Commonwealth.

I spy… landscape architects and interns out in the wild 😎

Our summer intern meetup series is in full swing. Today, and led tours of recent work at the Hub on Causeway, the Verizon tower, Old North Church, and Langone & Puopolo parks. Hard to see it here, but — this is landscape architecture that makes outdoor spaces accessible, helps civic and cultural landmarks adapt to climate change, supports local and global communities, and is fun.
