I'm Anne. I will be running Boston Marathon (4th) in April! Last March, the medical team at MEEI -and my sweet husband - saved my life!

Just over a week before my 26th Marathon!! Boston Marathon Virtual Experience!
We'll be doing some repeats on the Londonderry Rail Trail, in Londonderry, NH.
Last March, the medical team at MEE and my sweet husband -- saved my life. I promised my surgeon that if they restored my ability to breathe and talk normally, I would run the 2020 Boston Marathon and fundraise for Massachusetts Eye and Ear (MEE). It ...

When the pandemic crisis started in the Spring, and Boston Marathon got postponed, then cancelled / virtual option, I hit PAUSE on the fundraising efforts. I went and ran 2 full marathons, by myself. 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
Mass Eye and Ear is not a place focused on COVID-19, however they have continued practices, take all precautions, and are now in a tighter budget than ever before. (We don't even get team logo shirts!)
In less than a month, I will be running the Boston Marathon - Virtual Experience🏃🏻♀️, but I won't be running on the race course, and I won't have a million screaming spectators every step of the way, and I'll have to support my own run fuel. It will be everything EXCEPT from the real thing.
I really miss the way races used to be. 😕
If you can take a few minutes to read my story, and consider a donation of any size, I and Mass Eye and Ear would truly appreciate it. EVERY dollar counts! 😀🏃🏻♀️

I've not posted in my page recently, because due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I feel like this is a difficult time to be asking for donations from people. So much has changed the past few weeks. I do want to continue to communicate with my fans, and will be training for the Boston Marathon, that has now moved to September 14th. teameyeandear.org/annenoble
"Mass. Eye and Ear is standing strong, while not a front-line hospital for COVID patients we continue to treat patients with and without COVID who are in need of Eye, ENT, and Head and Neck Cancer care. The reduction of patients and research actually means we need our runners more than ever, an infusion of funding will help get our clinics and ORS and research labs back up and running full tilt, just as soon as possible." - MEEI
I want to give a thank you to all of our essential workers and medical staff, everywhere. THANK YOU!
On Saturday, I ran a marathon, by myself, with a small proceed (my medal will arrive in May) that went to Direct Relief, to help people who need it most, through these trying times. If you would like to give to that charity, see https://www.directrelief.org/emergency/coronavirus-outbreak/

I've not posted in here for a while, because the past few weeks the entire world has been focused on this pandemic of the COVID-19 virus, social distancing, and helping our neighbors and the medical front line workers.
March 1st, I ran Little Rock Marathon, in 5:04:28, faster than any of my 19 past marathons!
Boston Marathon moved to September 14th.
I will do a virtual marathon, early April, for COVID-19 Direct Relief
Maine Coast Marathon has been cancelled, however I will do virtual.
I've never done a virtual marathon, but it sounds like it will be mentally more difficult. I'll have to carry my own fuel and hydration, and will probably stash a couple small Gatorade bottles, along the planned route.

In honor of my healing, and to support thousands of other patients in this difficult time of crisis, please consider making a donation.

I just registered for Maine Coast Marathon, on 5/9, hopefully this epidemic will be history by then!!!
The Boston Marathon won’t be run Monday April 20 as planned and it could be rescheduled to the fall because of concerns about the coronavirus pandemic, WBZ-TV has learned.

I have big news! I qualified, again! On April 20, I will run my 4th Boston Marathon®, now as a member of Team Eye and Ear, a group of 50 dedicated runners who are raising money to advance the truly inspiring work of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear. Since its inception in 2006, Team Eye and Ear has raised more than $6 million to support the hospital’s exceptional clinical care and ground-breaking research. I could not be more excited to join this elite team and to help advance such innovative work. I ran 3 marathons this Fall, Chicago - faster than my past 7, and a couple of weeks later, I ran one in Vermont that was cold, rained all day, but I got 12th place, overall! To date, I’ve completed 22 marathons.
Mass. Eye and Ear is truly a special place. Having Neurofibromatosis Type 2 has been a battle throughout my life. I have been blessed to have supportive family, friends, and the best doctors in the country. Personally, I have been helped enormously by their care and expertise. Last March, the team at Mass. Eye and Ear - and my sweet husband – saved my life! I promised my surgeon that if he restored my ability to breathe and talk normally, I would run the 2020 Boston Marathon with Team Eye and Ear. He chuckled, smiled, and said, "Okay, we'll see about that.”
I’ll be there in 2 months! (Read more of my story at teameyeandear.org/annenoble)
Each year more than 300,000 people from 80 countries seek the care of Mass. Eye and Ear doctors and I can say from experience that they really do change lives. Mass. Eye and Ear is ranked a Top Hospital in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. In addition to being a world leader in treating people with vision, hearing, voice and balance problems as well as cancers of the head, neck, and eye, Mass. Eye and Ear is home to the world’s largest vision and hearing research programs. Physicians and scientists have a long tradition of pioneering research to develop new drugs and surgical techniques and they continue to aggressively pursue innovative treatments that give hope to people around the world. Since many Neurofibromatosis (NF) patients suffer from symptoms related to eyes, ears, nose, and throat. Mass. Eye and Ear works closely with Dr. Plotkin and the Harvard NF clinic.
Our team fundraising goal is $500,000 and I have a personal goal of raising at least $20,000. I hope you join me in supporting Mass. Eye and Ear by making a gift today.Donations are fully tax deductible and can easily be made online at teameyeandear.org/annenoble or if you would prefer you can write a check made out to: Foundation of Mass. Eye and Ear, Inc.and mail it to me (above), so I can track, before sending it to the hospital. Check MEMO: “Anne Noble”
Also, if your company participates in a matching gift program, please consider applying to have your gift to Mass. Eye and Ear matched.
I look forward to keeping you informed of my progress – both in training and fundraising. Thank you for your friendship and for your generous support.
Sincerely
Anne Noble
