DAV Department of Massachusetts

DAV Department of Massachusetts Keeping our promise to America's Veterans. We are dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.

We accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Today, as our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, we proudly honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of the generations of Americans who have defended that freedom.

From the Minutemen who answered the call in 1776 to the veterans who continue to serve our nation today, their legacy reminds us that liberty is never free.

On this historic Independence Day, the DAV Department of Massachusetts extends our heartfelt gratitude to every veteran, active-duty service member, military family, and supporter who continues to strengthen our nation and our communities.

As we commemorate America’s 250th birthday, let us celebrate not only our nation’s remarkable history, but also recommit ourselves to keeping our promise to America’s veterans—ensuring they receive the care, benefits, and respect they have earned through their service.

From all of us at the DAV Department of Massachusetts, we wish you and your family a safe, joyful, and patriotic Fourth of July!

Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸🎆

Exciting things are happening in the world of veteran mental health care. We recently welcomed the teams from Heroic Hearts Project and Healing Breakthrough, and veteran advocate Noah Galloway to DAV Washington Headquarters, along with a documentary crew capturing the growing movement for psychedelic-assisted therapy. The conversation around innovative treatments for veterans is getting louder, and DAV is proud to help lead it.

Congress should not reduce earned disability compensation for future disabled veterans to pay for other priorities, especially when the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has stated that no changes are planned or imminent.

Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 to get connected directly to the office of any U.S. Senator or Representative and tell them to keep the promise to America’s veterans by not stripping their benefits to pay for others ➡️ https://dav.la/4vg9A4l.

🇺🇸 Another great day of service for Massachusetts veterans and those who serve our communities.

The DAV Department of Massachusetts was honored to participate in the 3rd Annual Department of Corrections Veterans Resource Fair at the Massachusetts Correction Officers Federated Union Headquarters in Milford, MA.

It was a privilege to connect with correctional professionals, veterans, and their families while sharing information on the programs, benefits, and resources available to those who have worn the uniform—both military and public service.

Thank you to the Massachusetts Correction Officers Federated Union and all participating organizations for helping make this event a success. Together, we continue our mission of ensuring veterans receive the support and resources they have earned.

Keeping Our Promise to America’s Veterans.
