Congratulations to the 2023-2024 First Literacy Grant recipients! First Literacy Grants support Adult Basic Education organizations in the development and trial of innovative education programs through grant funding. This year First Literacy awarded grants to five deserving organizations.

World Bicycle Day draws attention to the benefits of using the bicycle — a simple, affordable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transportation.
The bicycle 🚲 contributes to cleaner air and less congestion and makes education, health care and other social services more accessible to the most vulnerable populations.
A sustainable transport system that promotes economic growth, reduces inequalities while bolstering the fight against climate change is critical to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), safe infrastructure for walking and cycling 🚴🏼 is also a pathway for achieving greater health equity.

Occasion International Women's Rights Day

I'm not saying happy birthday, because it isn't.

I pay tribute to the pioneers who fought and led the struggle for emancipation and respect for the rights of women.

To us, I invite everyone to get more involved as: mother, wife, wife, educator, professional, so that we reach a different dimension.

Don't we say that "behind every man, there is the hand of a woman".

So I encourage us to act accordingly, for another class of men and women, so that we are no longer forced to fight for our rights.

We carry them in our stomachs for 9 months, we risk dying to give them life, we breastfeed them so that they can grow with all the energy they used to get when they were in our womb before they started experimenting with other sources of energy. on them, we help to grow, we cry for them when they are in grief, they make us cry too, ..

But what makes the difference with our pride is the falsehood and power that the Lord has given us to do so. So we are Special, let's think so.
