Forge Boston

Forge Boston We long to see the Kingdom of God revealed in the everyday places we live, work and play.

To do this, Forge Boston partners with individuals and churches to train women and men to live as missionaries where they are already doing life.

We want to mobilize the people of God to participate in the everyday mission of God. This means creating and sustaining missional expressions of the church built around the spaces/places we live, work, study, and play. Whether pioneering new networks or re-missioning established congregations, we want to see the church be a sign, instrument and foretaste of the coming kingdom by engaging communities, neighborhoods, apartments, campuses, workspaces, and third places.

Join us for two days as we explore what it looks like to embody this! Whether you are new to the conversation and curious to discover more or a practitioner wanting to dive deep, there is a place for you! Check out the details - forgeboston.org/summit (Use code EarlyBird by the end of September for $10 off.)

Our churches are called to resource and equip their congregants to join God's work in the world, not just help our own metrics.

Our Story

The Forge Mission Training Network began in Victoria, Australia in 1996, launched by Alan and Deb Hirsch and Michael & Caz Frost as a response to the dire need for Christians to go into their worlds, amidst the many cultural changes, and actively engage others with the good news of Jesus & His Kingdom. In 2010, Forge made its way to the United States and Forge America began by rolling out local and contextual training hubs to various cities such as Dallas, Knoxville, Austin, and others. The goal was and still is to inspire and equip every member of the body of Christ to participate in the extraordinary mission of God right where they live, work, and play. As a servant and partner to the local church, network, university, and nonprofit, Forge is playing a role in reimagining and reshaping the Church to engage communities, neighborhoods, apartments, campuses, workspaces, and third places. The hope is for Kingdom expressions to increase in the places Jesus followers inhabit and for those we rub shoulders with to encounter the love of God and experience more generosity, more inclusivity, reconciliation and justice, peace, love, hospitality, celebration, and beauty - all things that point to the good news of God’s Kingdom.

Forge Boston partners with the local church, nonprofit, and network to mobilize the everyday people of God to participate in the every day mission of God.
